Some Steen and Saldiveri reps at the Senior Bowl

Zacch Pickens, Steen and Bergeron look good in those reps.

I really like Steen based on where we're drafting…my issue is has the FO ever drafted a OT with sub 33" arms? I feel like you're almost off their boards at OT if you don't hit their threshold at length.

Good question. Nick Zakelj comes to mind has an OT coming out, but certainly possible the vision was always guard.

Yeah I don't think he was ever a candidate to play OT for them.

I like Steen but I do think that arm length will deter us from taking him as our RT prospect. I have Wanya Morris ranked about equal to Steen and Morris has 35 inch arms and 85 inch wing span (99% percentile). But I do think Steen could still possibly play RT

I think they said center was the goal last year.

He's got Thorn's blessing…moving him up my board lol

He looked like a blocking sled without weights in the Senior Bowl practice highlights

Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

Bad. Really got outmuscled at the Senior Bowl. Like on nearly every rep. Footwork and athleticism looked good. And to be fair he was playing alot of guard instead of tackle, but he needs to add alot of core and leg strength to handle the bull rush in the NFL.

I was gonna say is there reps of him outside? I agree he was getting moved around inside at the Senior Bowl.

Havent seen much tape on him at tackle besides game film at OD. At the senior bowl he was mostly lined up at guard. Took some reps at center. Here's come clips from the other days with time stamps and comments on his reps. Overall disappointing in these 1 on 1 scenarios. But you can see the athleticism. Has good hips and footwork. He has good technique and is mostly well positioned. Moves well in space. Safer bet as guard, but hes got to get his strength up. Has some traits that you cant teach though.

1:42 vs Cam Young. Run blocking drill, seals the edge but pushed way too far into the backfield.

1:47 vs Cam Young. Pass blocking as RG. Initial win on the rep as his strong punch gets Young off balance and turned around but when he recenters into a bull rush he skates Saldiveri back into QB and collapses him to the ground. Missed chance to end the rep by attacking Young.

1:54 vs Cam Young. Pass blocking as RG. Able to stay square but looks light on feet and is easily bounced backwards.

6:01 vs Tavious Robinson. Pass blocking as RG. Going against a fast DE here, and he sort of jump sets like a tackle expecting outside speed, but he gets easily burned on an inside rush. Falls down for a second time for some reason. Inadvertent slip, but read on multiple scouting reports that he ends up on the ground too easy. Coincidence?

6:10 vs Tavious Robinson. Pass blocking as RG. Better footwork and mirroring, gets squared up, but again is too easily pushed back in my opinion. And Robinson is only 260 lbs.

1:22 v Cam Young. Run blocking drill. Looks like a winning rep. Quick feet and uses leverage well to seal the edge. Not really working to drive the defender back, but does his job.

3:35 vs Zacch Pickens. Pass blocking as Center. Granted Pickens had his way with just about anyone outside of Avila and JMS, but he makes Saldiveri look like hes on ice skates. Just too light in the pants. Feet work well to try to dig in, but theres no leverage. Pretty athletic moves just to stay upright to his credit.
