With all the free agents we have and drafting so late I think we need volume and hope or find some gems.

I could see them trading a 2023 and 2024 3rd/4th rounder with another 2023 pick and moving up toward the top of the 3rd, keeping the 2nd 2023 3rd round comp and then trading down with the 3rd 2023 3rd round comp to recover a 4th rounder next year.

But I think they are going to trade up a couple times lower picks this year and a couple comp picks from next year. We have like 7 3rd round comp picks, I see those turning into 4 picks

What don't you understand? Yes, I would consider moving up to draft him because I don't think he makes it to our first pick in the 3rd round. He may make it to the 3rd though and only require a move up in that round

What I don't understand is where are you getting the idea that he would be gone before our 3rd round pick forcing us to trade up for him?

I wouldn't be shocked if he was there in the 5th+ rounds for us.

Oh gotcha. That's just my opinion; I think he's a guy that helped himself in the Senior Bowl and continues to impress in this process. I hope you are right and we have a shot at him in the 5th+ rounds and we pounce.

Only 28 OL since 2010 have beat that mark. IMO there aren't a ton of blue chip projects in this draft. Not much at the OL position either.

a lot of good depth and guys that could be quality starters, not seeing a bunch of pro-bowlers though.

Nothing reported. Only kicker that we know of is Dunn. Doesn't mean we didn't talk to those guys, just no one asked them.

Hope Shanahan drafts a good C...he prefers vets, but at some point you'd think he'd go ahead and draft one, someone to grow with Burford & Banks. He's got enough vets to b/u up a good rookie. I like Freeland...athletic OT, right up Coach's alley. Again, another youngster to grow with the others.
