Always love the internet. A guy from a message board that has nothing to lose is willing to gamble. Not his money, job, family on the line. These teams do more scouting in a day than anyone on this board has done in their lifetime, but there is always outrage about picks. Its madding, lol
lol. We need an RT. Dawand was the best on the board. Our pick will be a late round pick next year. That's not a big risk or bold take.
Best on the board doesn't mean someone fits your needs. Teams look for different things out of the same position. Not everyone is the best guy.
Dawand is a scheme fit. And appears to play a position that, at the least, seems to be lacking in depth and competition. What we'll never know is if the team agrees, but we do know they obviously wanted a kicker more.

Kyle and John obviously care about the position. having consistency at that particular position is more important than wHo CaR3s!!
Great argument. Your response to the opinion that Kyle and John over valued Jake Moody (or really, undervalued other positions) is to repeat that they valued Moody. Makes sense, clears things up.
what argument? there is none. your opinion about the value of the position is irrelevant. they wanted their guy so they got their guy. it was obviously the correct decision after watching NE select a K in the 4th.
How does new England taking a kicker in the 4th make moody in the third the correct choice? No one is arguing they didn't get their guy...keep up

If there is no way of knowing if the picks given up for Lance would've made an impact on this team then logically the trade cannot be looking worse by the day. It just can't.
When you look at the fact that they are fielding calls for a guy that they gave all that up for just two years ago it absolutely does.
No way of knowing because we don't know what they'd of done with those selections but if they'd of hit on just one of those picks they would be much better off than making that trade.

Wouldn't be surprised at all.
Poor man's, Purdy.
Rams took him, thank god.
