But knowing Kyle he's probably just itching to take a RB which I'm sure will be our pick

I would not like a RB pick, but the late RB picks are good. Mitchell, Breida, and Mason. It's the round 3 and 4 guys that have been trash.

2 picks away
I'm going to go with Keondre Coburn for the next pick to finally replace DJ Jones.
Arizona again. Dante Stills. Nice pick.

He went to KC.

I don't know if we have our FQB. Brock looks the part. In a perfect world, Trey plays at a high level and we have a tough decision to make after 2024. As for what we aren't doing, I think NY said it best, they believe in McKivitz, fwiw. I'm fine with him, but would've preferred a legitimate competition. I don't see a tackle on the roster that can challenge him. The Eagles had two firsts and a 2nd round pick. We started at 99. There is no comparison here lol. You say the continue to stack it with talent- they added one guy and did so in the second round. We never had a shot. Now let's say they bypassed the kicker and Friday went this way, Ji'Aiyr Brown at 87, Nick Saldivieri or Blake Freeland at 101, and Cameron Latu at 102. What would you be saying about that draft?

He'd be mad Brown and Latu weren't OL picks.

This deep into the draft without an IOL or OT means they have faith in the current starters, depth and the new guys they brought in.

They have faith in them every year. And it always costs us in the end.

That had nothing to do with Oline and the unit was the best we've had under Kyle last year. With that said, I still would have taken 2 guys minimum, 3rd and 5th rounds with my original mocks. Looking at the depth really. Poe, Zakelj, Moore, and Feliciano. Looks like vet depth or guys we know nothing about. Same applies to any rookies drafted but at least there would be more competition.

Brock had like a 65% pressure rate, we scored a Jimmy-like 19 points against Dallas (defense actually held this time though) and only 8 passes went more than 10 yards. Then Philly. The OL far exceeded expectations but if you want a Championship level OL against the DL's we'll be facing to get to the Superbowl, Colton McKivitz and even Spencer Burford might need to be upgraded. And Banks needs far better conditioning as he fell off as the season progressed. Plus TW is guaranteed to miss games as well and is already talking retirement. Brendel is fine right now; might have some legit young challengers already on the roster. IMHO, of course.

I honestly think Dallas was a bad matchup for us, even though we were the better team. Just a fast team that was motivated to take it to us. Also, it was year 1 for our entire IOL. I'd like to see a 2nd year before I say they need to be upgraded. With all of that, I still said I would've taken two guys minimum and even specified where. I'm not saying we can't get any better there. They did well for being first year starters. Now let's see what they have in year 2 before saying these guys need to be upgraded.

Furthermore, although O-line has clearly cost us, you are asking for O-line to compensate for deficiencies at QB. All this talk of the DLs we will be facing- which teams are you referring to, and of those teams, who would you say has the better QB, us or those other teams the last 4 years for every single playoff loss? All of this O-line talk, while every one of these Super Bowls have been won by possibly the GOAT of QBs, a guy that people want to crown a GOAT, and a guy that has been one of the top-5 or 10 best in the last 15 years. There's a reason these QBs get ungodly sums of money, even if they aren't truly tier 1 elite guys. Lynch and Shanahan figured it out and made a big move to hopefully get a guy that could potentially be that. It hasn't worked so far, but elite O-line play isn't going to carry us all the way. Dallas had an A1 O-line for how long? And there's nothing but dust in their trophy case in that time period.

I hear you but every year those teams who believe they have their FQB do everything they can to buy and draft the best OL possible. That's magnified even more after they lose b/c of that OL.

Now, do WE think we have our FQB? If so, why aren't we doing the same thing? Eagles had the best or second best OL last year and they continue to stack it with talent like we do with the DL. Of course, they prove you can do both. Just one example...

I hear you. If we don't have a T to challenge a guy we cut last year at T, that IS my exact point. At 87, 99 and 101, there were still a lot of quality OL that could have challenged Burford, Brendel and even the great, Colton McKivitz. j/k

I expect a DT, but a 7th round development guy we can stash on the PS for a year.

Did we meet with Banks? We still need a longterm run stuffer. Take Coburn at 216 and get the best of what's left with out three 7ths.
What's wrong with Trice? Thought he'd be long gone by now.
