It can only be explained by Shanahan's plan to prove he's so good as an OC that he needs only an average or below average OLine.
Ronnie Bell

Strengths

Came back from 2021 ACL tear with a productive season.
Intensity and competitiveness shine on tape.
Possesses above average ball skills.
Makes well-timed leaps and catches with strong hands.
Able to make athletic adjustments in air.
Sticky, aggressive run blocking stands out.

Hell yeah! Some surprises in the draft but overall, I think it was awesome for what we need immediately and developing some guys who can be difference makers.

anyone who works out from this draft will be Pennie's for us too!

I mean it was a pretty blah draft overall.

I was calling it. Don't approve but it seemed like the direction they were going.
Overall I give our draft a B-. Would of been a B+ but taking a kicker in the 3rd round I just can't get my head around so that knocks it down. Would of been an A- imo if we would of drafted Freeland or Saldeveri in the 3rd over Moody. Taking no offensive lineman is a bit strange. Latu was my least favorite pick, I like the player/need in Moody just not at 99 overall.

My(only) hope is that the Niners restructured CMC's contract because they plan to trade for a starting-level offensive tackle.
A++

No, they did that so they could afford to sign their rookies.

Give me an OT instead of Moody. Then Christopher Dunn or Szmyt (Syracuse ) instead of Graham and I'd be REALLY REALLY happy with this draft. As it stands I'm still happy with it

I think the def plan on hitting the FA market, maybe Nygaukoue/Floyd/Clark. Now that the draft is over free agent signings no longer count against the comp pick formula so I assume that's what we were waiting on
I thought just about everyone we got fits what we do very nicely. Idk what people were expecting with a bunch of mid to late round picks. Especially since they were all at the very end of every round.

it should really be viewed as we had 3 fourth rounders, 1 five, 1-2 Six rounders and like 5 7th rounders

None of our rookies will count against our top 51 in cap space so we are good there I believe

You guys hating on the kicker are out of your damn minds. Lol we spent a fourth on the best kicker in the draft. Literally our biggest need.

idk why everyone thinks good kickers are fall off trees everyday. You NEED someone dependable, it's the difference between like 3-5 wins every year

uou guys really think some offensive line player is going to make any difference this season or play any snaps!

Yeah, the space is probably to sign some people, especially if injuries happen. You dont want to go into the season with like 1-2M in cap space
