I think in this case it might have more to do with Kyle messing up on developing him than Trey himself. Kyle put no work in on helping Trey get to the next level. Sitting him year 1 for Jimmy G of all people was beyond stupid. Especially considering that the reason you traded all that draft capital was because you weren't happy with your current QB.

Strongly disagree. Letting Lance sit was a great thing, it was obvious Jimmy was better than him. Lance is probably the highest drafted guy that is that raw. Except maybe now Richardson

kyle then handed Lance the keys but he got injured.

idk how it's kyles fault. Lol if you want to blame anyone, blame Purdy for balling out and winning everyone over to the point where they didn't see it worth going back to Lance.

Well you could fault Kyle for running Trey so much. And if that's all Trey could do in year 2 of Kyles system then either it's an indictment of Kyle not preparing him or Trey not being worth what they gave up for him.

Seeing how Kyle is a great offensive mind and plays to whay his players do well and away from what they dont, I personally would guess it's Trey not being capable at the time.

i think Kyle knew that and was trying to get him experience so he could grow. Then he got injured.

but I hated those runs and they weren't good for anything.

Correct, he wasn't capable to play at all due to injury.

The first season was all Kyle, his choice to delay development to win with Jimmy.
BTW, how antsy was Lynch today? Poor guy must have put up 10K steps just pacing back and forth.
The eagles players are most likely not come into to the league and be great. It happens but not often. We have the best linebacker in the league, best defensive player/DE, Best DT, all pro safety, other safety was one of the best in interceptions, c ward is a stud corner.

offense:
best all around wr, two top wide receiver's, top 2 TE, Best left tackle, Young phenom QB

And a top play caller and play designer.

eff the eagles! Let's get it, gents!

Well I meant all of treys starts. Kyle ran him more than any other QBs in the league. We've scored 10 points or less in 4 games since 2017, Trey led us to two of them.

regardless of if you like Trey or not, he's not been ready to run the offense the way we need it. He needed last seasons experience and that went away when he was injured. Doesn't mean he can't become a good qb, he's just far away because of his lack of experience - and I think he needs a good two seasons.

Solomon Thomas, yea I could see a pass given there. One bad pick at the top of round 1 during your first year, it happens.

3 first rounders and a 3rd is a fireable offense, too reckless no matter what you did with late round picks. The only guys that could get away with something like that would be BB or Andy Reid. Guys who bring in Super Bowl trophies.

There is no science to drafting QBs, that much we know. I wouldn't fire Kyle over this, odds are not in your favor to fare better and it's not going to go over well with your locker room.

I don't make knee-jerk reactions, I would personally look at and weigh the entire body of work before making rash decisions.

It amuses me how keen some people are to see Lynch and Shanahan fired. The draft is a lottery. People don't get fired for failing to win a lottery. The rebuild job they did was and continues to be remarkable. And that is what matters.

If it's a lottery why invest in a scouting department? The draft is much more than luck or an educated guess, see Bill Walsh system and scouting for his system. Had some misses but none like Trey if it turns out he is a bust which I don't think he will be.

Eagles are gonna be good still. Can give other good organizations credit for being smart. Unlike Seattle they actually have legit talent in their front 7 which is the key to having a top defense.

tomorrow we have in reality 3 4th rounders, sucks pretty much

Kittle, Mitchell, Warner, Purdy, Huff, I know I'm missing some late round guys that we hit on.

It's not all doom and gloom.

In fact you could argue that we do much worse in the first two rounds as well as the top of the 3rd round.

we suck in the 4th round, along with 1st/2d... if they were 5ths i'd agree

Good thing we don't have a 4th round pick.
Levis will be a Ram tomorrow

I didn't say they were bad, just not scared of them. I think we would beat them if we were healthy.

Lions would make sense as well.
Can somebody really be a steal at number one overall? C'mon NFL guy.

I think lions are committed to Goff. It's a good fit for him.
