Trading away draft picks in future years sucks

I was down with the deal for CMC but the draft was already gutted by injured benchwarmer Trey Lance. I love the draft and dealing away picks is a terrible move.

No, it's a boring move, not a terrible one.

Yeah it's not a great idea. CMC was great. Lance was a terrible guy to trade so many picks for.

It really just depends on how many guys in this draft are better than Trey Lance and CMC

We don't draft trey, we don't take Purdy. I'm happy with how it all ended

That's not really connected.

I'm still optimistic for Trey. I don't think Trey planned on getting injured either. I think he'll prove the naysayers wrong and challenge for QB1 either this year or next.

When has it worked? I believe Aiyuk is only trade up that worked out for us with this regime. Though i do feel confident in Ji'Ayir

It very well could be. Perhaps 49ers feel the need to draft QB earlier if Trey wasn't taken at 3 year prior and then don't take Purdy.

It's over and done with and Trey still has a chance to prove he was worth the move.

We don't draft Joe Montana without trading away a future pick for an over the hill OJ Simpson. That future pick ended up being #1 overall. We keep that pick and Phil Simms is a 49er.
