I've legit thought he could be a dark horse pick for us the last few days lol

The 49ers have had conversations with teams, including with one picking in the top 10, about trading either of their prized wide receivers Brandon Aiyuk or Deebo Samuel in an effort to move up in the first round, per sources.

We save money trading Deebo. It was never as bad as the masses claim

You save some money, but there is still a huge cap hit.
Pre-June 1(trade): $21.721 million dead cap hit, $6.912 million savings
If the 49ers move Deebo, they can replace him by trading up to middle of the first round for someone like Brian Thomas and bank on Purdy taking the next step and not needing Deebo's versatility

But if they move Aiyuk, they need to get in position for one of the big 3 WRs https://t.co/NDviSIib4n

I'll make my prediction right now. Everyone thinks it's for an OL like Fautanu (if the trade happens) but the 49ers lets us hold their beer and select…of course….DL……Byron Murphy
