Amen to this. Niners could conceivably take three o linemen if they want to solidify line for now and the long term. One OT, an OG and one center is my prediction. Either that or 2 OT's and one C/OG.

I really think it matters the type of OL available. If they're seasoned with lots of experience, I could see us drafting a few early.

But next year is it for having a QB on a rookie deal, I think it's much more likely we nab another DE, DT, CB, WR, FS... just players who can impact the game early.

Again, as much as I would love to see us develop some OL, it's rare for them to produce immediately, which is why I'm not getting my hopes up.
Im down for them getting a Tackle with their 1st pick and then guard with their 2nd pick. That would shore up the oline real fast as you have 2 pretty much starters right off the bat or at least 1 and the other can platoon with someone until they fully take over.
I can see them trading up in the first for their tackle of choice. Maybe to the mid 20s so not a crazy trade up.
First mock from Dane Brugler….

30. San Francisco 49ers: Taliese Fuaga, OT, Oregon StateWith his firm hands and finishing mentality, Fuaga is the best run-blocking lineman I have studied this draft cycle, especially with his ability in zone. His feet get tied up when he gets too upright in pass protection (see: his 2023 Washington tape), but he can keep speed wide of the pocket and help answer the 49ers' struggles at right tackle.

yes please!

9ers don't draft TE's that much. Don't overreact to one year.

Also this regime has never drafted a DB in the first 2 rounds.

I expect T, CB, C, DE in first 4 in some order.

I second this motion.
I'm not syaing they will draft hm but I would sure love to have Rome Odunze. This guy is 6'3" and weighs about 220. He's an amazing receiver. Like I said they won't have a shot at him but it would be nice to have a guy like him. He's the one type of offensive weapon they don't have.

This draft is supposedly loaded with O line talent so they need to address that area and the CB position. Other than that just go for the best guys available.

Tackle talent. Weak in the interior. Gonna need to get a value guy in the interior.

Instead of resigning Aijuk, what if we packaged him with other draft picks to move up for Marvin Harrison Jr.? I know it sounds like fantasy, especially if he goes in the top 5 and the draft capital we would have to surrender to move up that far, but here is my reasoning.
1. Salary! If Aijuk ends up performing well getting over $25 million a year, he might price his way off our team unless Trent Williams retires. Good for us if he increases his trade value which is kind of essential for this to work, and will also make me sad to see him go.
2. Julio Jones! When he had Julio in Atlanta, his offense was incredible. Falcons made a similar deal and it almost won them a Super Bowl
3. We have a pretty deep roster, and a ton of picks. May as well try and get the best player in draft. Low risk high reward
4. We have an elite run game, but our receivers have not shown they can dominate, and I love how we scheme people open, but what would our offense look like with an elite pure wideout, and CMC? I hope Aijuk can become that, but I am not as confident in that as I am in Marvin Harrison Jr.'s potential, mostly based on watching his father for over a decade, and seeing his son look just as good with a way bigger frame, and a lifetime of training toward this moment. Also why I want to draft Frank Gore Jr. and Brendan Rice.....
5. It's working really well in my Madden Franchise! lol, go ahead and roast me now

Obviously, everyone here should want Harrison Jr over Aiyuk, but he's going to go top 3 in the draft. No chance we trade up for him.

Was that enough roasting?

Sighhhh... I Suppose it'll have to do. I was hoping to get dressed down like I used to when I'd say Gary can't anchor....

Whatever happened to Wu?

IDK, but Gary is out here doing more than anchoring on Thanksgiving

Yeah, he's doing great but Bosa will always be the correct pick.

I agree 1000% and still stand by the decision in hindsight. We are so lucky the Cardinals drafted Murray one year after Rosen. What an epic turn of events.

You're missing the point to my mock draft and I wasn't being serious.
Packers/Ambry Thomas overreaction:
Changing my prediction that pick 1 would automatically be an OT. I am thinking that the new pecking order is
  1. CB
  2. OT
  3. DT
I read that only around 50ish under classmen declared because this is the covid year shortfall so there is not as much talent. Lower end picks will be less valuable this year
