He certainly should be in the conversation at 9ers pick.

I want to go to the Senior Bowl one day. Seems like a lot of fun for people who enjoy the draft like myself.

Senior Bowl week is almost entirely on TV now, so traveling down there seems like a waste. The Senior Bowl practices and drills are usually on NFL Network every night plus the game on Saturday. Still, would likely be more fun live. Good calls on the OT's at the end of the 1st/top of the 2nd round. Suamataia is the only prospect if I not mistaken to play both OT slots in college. Guyton IMO has the best physical traits which means he may be able to move from his usual RT slot to LT eventually. Definitely the position with the most intrigue this offseason.

Yeah I watch the practices every year. But you can still attend the actual game, right?

Well, we know what Bill Walsh would do with Trent. He would cut or trade him a year before his play declined and move on to the next player in line.
This was the Walsh method. A method, btw, developed before the salary cap era. So, the contract didn't matter. Large contract or small, when Walsh decided it was time to move on, he did. A surprising number of very popular players, who were still quite effective, were sent packing under this method.
I don't think that Walsh ever got caught "flat-footed."
He sure didn't. And off the top of my head, it seems the replacements were generally better. The first clear drop off that I can remmber was when we moved on from Ronnie Lott, but Walsh was already gone by then.
It isn't just moving away from a player. It's also having Jerry Rice on your team already when you phase out Freddie Solomon, John Taylor when you phase out Dwight Clark (though I think Taylor wasn't even the immediate starter), Brent Jones is on the roster when you moved off of Russ Francis, etc. We should definitely be beginning this transition. I think there are some picks this regime has made and we'll know if its full on based on what positions are prioritized in the draft.

Kingsley would be a great pick today at 63 or in a trade up. Very athletic big man. Will see what happens.

I really want Kingsley, but I would be very surprised if he's still there by 63. I think you're right, the Niners are going to have to trade up to get him.

Agree. SF has 3 (4th round) picks to use for trade up.

Kingsley will be a Commander, I fear.
