49ers Draft Trade Up

Since the the start of the Lynch/Shanaha era, the draft trade up picks have amounted to nothing. Unless Lance can turn it around, it's been a big fat zero for trading up. Crosses finger J'ayir Brown is finally a good trade up pick.

If I had the keys to the 49ers, I probably would've given up the farm for Trevor Lawrence!!!!

Drafting record is no more than a C...

Yep. One point is being missed. The front office have built an excellent roster. Drafting into an already strong roster is extremely difficult. I don't see the point that they are trying to make. Lynch and co have taken one of the worst rosters in the NFL and built it into one of the best. And managed the salary cap whilst they are doing it. So let's moan about it.
Draft picks are 50-50 in the first round at best, then go longer odds from there. UDFA's make up 3 out of 10 players (per Bleacher Report)
Trade DOWN!

Money rounds seem to be 3rd, 5th, 7th for the 49ers. That's where they find all their star players.

I read an article that broke it down like this

Rosters are split pretty well between Day 1 , Day 2 , day 3 , and UDFAS (all are close to 20-30%)

but the majority of pro bowlers are taken earlier in drafts
Trade up for Cooper DeJean!

I think that's credit to Adam Peters. Unfortunately he's gone to Washington.
