I agree. Full time CB with a packages on O
Do we really think he is an NFL WR??.... He is a big body possession WR in college at this point in his career with questionable RAC against dudes we have never heard of. I post his highlight reel below, and you can see tons of stop and go effort...but it really does not go anywhere..

As a CB to be 100% honest to me he looked good, but not other worldly good. He mostly looked like a big dude playing CB against smaller dudes. You can see a bit of that WR on defense attacking the ball that you would expect from a tall lanky WR that is also a good CB.

Actually that video kinda reminds me of early Carlos Rodgers at Auburn, or Merton Hanks at Iowa. Dudes who leveraged their size as CBs and had an area of denial.

He is young as all get out, so there is that in play too it is not like he has SEASONS of stuff to put in a highlight reel.

I think he is a lot like Merton Hanks TBH...he plays just fast enough, but does not look fast by NFL standards, not afraid to stick his nose into traffic to make a play or make a tackle, and he has some balk hawk in him. The fact they tried him at Safety and CB is a plus.

Another week using his size to impact the game...... His one deep catch was probably offensive PI, but the dude does use his size. I really question wether or not he has legit NFL speed. He has a bit of shake and bake, just does not appear to have break away speed at the college level.

Love his heart and toughness. Not many would ever have gone to an HBCU with his talent level. And it's paying off.

That is pretty good NFL WR speed. 36 players ran faster than 21 mph in 2022 according to the random webpage that google found, with Tyreek hill listed at 21.6.

He does not really break anything off at the college lvl when he should be running by people closing in on Tyreek Hill speeds...so I dont know what's up...he does not look "fast" by college standards to me, let alone NFL standards.

Maybe he just accelerates slowly, more of a strider. He never ran a publicly reported 40 that I can find, so it is hard to say. I wonder if he will run the 40 for the combine, and I wonder what it will come back as.

By all accounts, he's a freak athlete. That doesn't necessarily translate to speed, but I'd be willing to assume the sheer number of snaps he is taking is impacting his second gear.
That was a big hit he took.

That hit pissed me off.....

Dude is rumored to have a lacerated liver. An actual Fn'ing TEAR in his liver....

I get why the defender would hit him knowing he did not catch the ball, I get wanting to send a message but the hit was plain as day late and should have been an ejection.

We end up with a dirty as hell game with guys retaliating for the other team retaliating. Everything from Blackburn's hit to Sanders eye gouging the other teams DE. That game was out of control and was poorly handled.

It looks likes Hunter will be out weeks at least....maybe months, I feel terrible for the dude, he has to be suffering.

Do you think NFL teams will start to frown on his usage? If a team had another player graded similar would they go choose the other player because they would feel their career's would be longer?

I just don't think the amount of snaps he took is sustainable. Not to mention the injury risk. I hope he was just used that way to put his name on the map and they back off some the rest of the season.

Dude is him though. Also is he a better corner or WR?

In my opinion, player usage is has generally been a concern as it relates to the RB position. The position of RB takes more direct punishment than, perhaps, any other position on the field

I am inclined to believe he'd be a better CB. The best WR have polished technique that they have mastered since their high school years. This isn't to say he will not or could not succeed as a WR, just that it seems he has committed the majority of his time to the CB position

100% agree. Charles Woodson played both sides of the ball and had like a 100 year career
