Travis Hunter WR/CB Colorado

Reading through this thread... half of the posters dont know anything about Hunter. If someone thinks hes just a big possession receiver, lol wutdafuk? Big possession receivers are ranked as the top CB in the nation coming out? Come on man.

He can do anything he wants to. His natural position is DB but could easily be WR2 on an NFL team. His routes need work but all he does is make plays. He's got a long stride so he looks slow when the reality is he is running 4.4, can high point the ball better than most and has that "it" instinct factor that disrupts offenses when he's on D or confuses DB's when he is on offense. But dont be fooled, he's got them quick feet when he needs it. He is a "glider" and just glides across the field to either cover WRs or run away from DBs depending on what side of the ball hes playing at the moment.

Big possession lol couldnt be the furthest thing from who he actually is or how he plays. Just watch the tape since highschool. He's played at 3 levels so far (highschool, D2 and D1) and dominated all of them.

Hunter is having a great game as WR and a terrible game as a CB.

Definitely dealing with some stuff. He's been limping all game and that big hit didnt hit probably messed him up more than he's showing. He's good enough to dictate at WR but not healthy enough to react like he used to at CB. He needs that bye week now.

Who knows the dude plays a billion snaps a game and is physical on both side of the ball so we are not talking easy prime Dion Sanders like snaps where he might not touch a guy the entire game. No idea what he would look like if he said I am going to be the best WR in the game or I am the best CB in the game.

The dude seems more quick then fast to me, he got obliterated by Ayomanor in this game both short yardage and in space. Ayomanor is a 4.58 40 guy and ran the 100m in 11.3ish range. Ayomanor took a 20 yard back shoulder throw 60 yards for a TD on Hunter.... Hunter basically gave up trying to run him down after a brief attempt and let him score. That is a dude you would think Hunter could run down....so who knows maybe he was already tired, or banged or whatever.

Hunter later got rocked catching a TD, and then had multiple passes completed on him as Stanford came back to win the game. ..dude is putting his body though a lot of abuse you just don't have to consider when comparing him to other WRs or CBs.

It ill be interesting to see how often Hunter is left on an island against better WRs as the season goes on.

As far as WR...I have never seen the dude walk off a college secondary....maybe I missed it....I know guys don't agree with the possession WR label...but I don't see the dude burning college level secondaries... I don't think we are looking at a playmaker in the NFL. I am eager to change my opinion...does anyone have a clip showing him walking off a secondary in college? He should have a lot of opportunity his QB throws bombs like they are free.

he got COMPLETELY punked
That game was devastating to his draft stock, should transfer to an SEC school
Everyone's salivating over Hunter but that receiver from Stanford had 294 yards and made one of the best catches I've ever seen.

I earlier referred to Ayomanor as a 11.3 guy, but I did find where he ran 11.1 and 11.0 flat. So he is probably an 11.0s guy. Normally when you think deep threat in the NFL you are thinking guys sub 11.0 seconds in the 100m. FAST NFL guys are normally under 10.5ish. DK Metcalf for example recently ran a 10.36,

He needs to concentrate on one position and just play the other position a few snaps a game. Or else he's going to stay injured and potentially end his NFL career.
OVERRATED.

Dion....

There is good and bad in having Dion as your coach

On the plus side...in this day and age with college players being able to actually get paid....Dion gets you on TV... Dion gets you talked about...

On the flip side.... Dion needs to put his foot down and get Hunter sorted out...

I also don't think Dion is doing his Son a solid talking him out of going to the NFL. I could be really wrong on that....I dont know where he is being talked about in the draft or as a prospect...maybe Sanders is getting feedback that he is a mid round guy or late pick....and he feels he should be much higher....but the coach in general should be trying to get his guys into the NFL as quickly as possible.

Dion put a target on his teams back....and everyone is treating the Colorado games like bowl games...I dont think that helps his guys any....

we shall see how it all pans out....
