Caleb Williams QB USC Trojans

If the 49ers somehow magically had the 1st pick in the draft, there is zero chance they take Caleb Williams with that pick with Brock Purdy on the roster. Zero. IMO.

also, Mac Jones seems like the another dude who would run to his mom in the stands and cry after a loss.

As for Alt I wasnt the only one to tell you there wasnt a chance that he would fall to the 49ers. In fact there were several. Studs like Alt dont fall to the 30s unless they suffer a bad injury. Tackles like him are way too valuable to get past the top 10.

And I said, Purdy now or Purdy as a 7th round pick or whatever. And no doubt I would take the present Purdy over Williams over a unknown 7th round pick, who wouldn't!!!

Wait so you're saying studs like Alt don't fall in the draft, my god do you really believe that. Please don't make me look up past prospects only for you to deflect it.

You really hurt by what I said about Caleb Williams, you keep going on and on about how I said this or that to try your best to make me look bad. Keep trying.
When you are doing your research find me offensive tackles that are projected to be top 10 picks by virtually everyone who fell to the 30s

Lol this isn't even about Caleb Williams anymore, now you're desperately reaching.

Lets get back to crybaby Caleb who wants mommy.

No seriously its a dead issue already this Caleb Williams thing. But I did hear they're now calling it the Lambeau weep.
Man he fumbles a lot. He needs to cover up the ball better. He will cost you in the NFL with that. There is some real downside to his game. I'm starting to doubt him more. For a variety of reasons.

He isnt perfect. I think the last guy you could say was virtually perfect coming out of the draft was Andrew Luck. But he is a playmaker and can make something out of nothing when plays break down. The greats in the league such as Mahomes, Allen, Hurts, and Herbert can do that. Stroud looks like he will be that kind of guy too. We shall see if Williams is that player in the NFL but I like his chances.

I can say I watch a lot more NFL than CFB, I did pick good chunks of the Oregon game to watch

just to get a feel for this guy and either not his best game or he's overhyped

Lol oh I can but I just don't care to. But then what, you'll find something else to try and make me look bad. Like I said this isn't even about Caleb Williams anymore with you.

Get it over it already, sorry if I offended crybaby Caleb. I would apologize to him but he's too busy crying in mommies arms.

Oregon is just so much better than USC that its hard to make a great judgment. But the LA times article kind of describes how I see it..

"USC's Caleb Williams tried to make up for this lapses himself. The junior threw for 291 yards and one touchdown on 19-of-34 passing. He was sacked three times running from Oregon's relentless pressure. The reigning Heisman Trophy winner willed the Trojans to an eight-point halftime deficit that felt like a minor victory in front of a packed crowd and an Oregon team that has emerged as the Pac-12's strongest since losing to rival Washington on Oct. 14. Williams slung a 10-yard pass to Austin Jones over his head like a hook shot. He scrambled for eight yards on a critical third-and-five in the red zone to set up a five-yard game-tying touchdown from MarShawn Lloyd in the first quarter. He kept the Trojans within one possession with a two-yard touchdown run with 12 seconds left in the first half.

I know the expectations are ridiculous since he is the Heisman winner and projected 1st pick in the draft. I think he would admit that he wasnt perfect but he still played a solid game in my opinion.

Please do. Show me some consensus top 10 projected offensive tackles that dropped to the 30s or lower. I mean, since you say you can lets see it. Or... maybe you cant? LOL

We can make it about Williams only though. You know, the guy who called a beast.

Like I said the problem with some of you and projections is that you think that's automatic, set in stone. Reality is prospects fall down in the draft all the time. Take for instance Marcus Cannon and La'el Collins who were 1st round prospect that fell outta the 1st. Yes or no players fall all the time??

As for Caleb Williams like I said in my previous post which you seem to ignore. Caleb is a beast a pretty damn good QB, but I think he's had more support in college than Mahomes has had. Add to the fact that he's a weirdo that looks for pity and is a straight up cry baby that I would pass in the draft for Drake Maye all day!!!

And I dont know what you keep comparing him to Mahomes. I certainly never have. All I have ever said is that he is an elite playmaker that will be the #1 pick. I do think that is the case although there are other great players in this draft that could possibly move ahead of him.

As for your examples.... They are extremely rare examples that had nothing to do with football.
Marcus Canon dropped because he was diagnosed with cancer right after the combine. Collins didnt even get drafted because police wanted to question him regarding a murder and there wasnt a team willing to even draft him in the 7th round because of it.

Joe Alt was never going to fall all the way to the 49ers unless he got ill or got into big trouble.
Its really not fair to label these guys as generational talent. If we are honest with ourselves we just don't quite know what generational talent is or if generational talent doesn't necessarily translate to NFL success.

Past "Generaltion Talents" off the top of my head:

Aaron Curry - bust
Calvin Johnson - legit
Andrew Luck - legit
Reggie Bush - didnt quite live up to expecations
J. Clowney - didnt quite live up to expecations
Trevor Lawrence - Still too early but may get the same label as above

Very mixed bag. Probably could add more to the list but hard to differentiate between a can't miss prospect and a generational talent

Reason why I think I compared the two (too lazy to look back) because someone called CW a generational talent. Then I made a point where I thought CW has had way more support in college than what Mahomes had. Never did I say you mentioned Mahomes.

As for my examples, it was meant to show that players can drop for whatever reasons. From Aaron Rodgers, Brady Quinn, Tavares McFadden to Ryan Harris. All were once thought of as 1st round picks who dropped.

But whatever moving on, 9ers just won and this is getting boring. Who gives a s**t about next season right now!!!!
another trash from the usc?
