LOL Talk about flip flop

That's not a flip flop. I watch the evidence as it comes in. I'm open to change and different opinions. Unlike a lot of you guys.

If he sucks in the next preseason game you will change again. You spent most of this thread saying he would be a bust and now rave about him because of one meaningless game. Not surprising though.
Here we go again. People are so quick to judge a young QB these days. If he has a couple bad games he's a bust. If he throws for 300 yards and 3 TDs he's ready for the HOF.

From my observation anything shorty of a couple games into the second year is too early to judge. Let us say start #20. The old sophomore slump is not really a slump at all it is just defensive co-coordinators getting the upper hand on exposing weakness that have not been over come. I have to go watch some Caleb Williams tape. Since I have fiber optic I might find the whole game and stream it while I do some paperwork.

I think one game is even too early for the preseason HOF. What was that guy's name Thomas Clayton? Ex-49er has to be on the all time preseason rushing yards list, at least top 10. If you look him up he was 15 carries in regular season action and gained 29 yards for his career

Honestly though, if a QB shows up during the Preseason, chances are he'll be a decent QB early in the NFL. The only QB's who I can remember looked like s**t in the Preseason but went on to becoming a decent QB were Alex Smith and Phillip Rivers.

Lets give it some time and see what happens. I can see some head case identity with him. I also can see in College and the Pre Season so far that he can make the spectacular play. Off schedule especially. He always had that quality. So lets see how it plays out. Yes I could change my mind again. But that's not a flip flop. That's following the the evidence data points as they come in. Ultimately we all have to give it some time. His head is a little odd. But the physical talent is there no doubt.

Caleb Williams looks good. Which could be good news for us despite the Bears being in our conference and on our schedule. Because instead of the Lions and Packers beating up on eachother, Now it will be the Lions, Packers, and Bears beating up on eachother.

Yeah it probably drops the seed of the NFC Central team. Whoever makes it. LOL. That helps us.

I finally found all his plays without listening to someone comment the whole time. There were not any over head views so you could not tell if he failed to spot open receivers. I saw 5 or so nice plays without any negative looking plays. He had some nice escapes from pressure. There were some throws that looked rushed into tight spaces, yet from sideline views you could not tell what he saw when making the throw. They were broken up so no harm no foul, no telling if he threw them where only his guy could catch them.
Hard to grade him from what I saw, but the lack of bonehead plays are a good sign, I will give him a B grade on limited information.
More Mahomes plays in preseason game #2.....

Lmao. Most people hate him cause he doesn't fit what they perceive pro athletes to be. I see a guy that is not afraid to be what he is and he will be mentally stronger in the long run. I'm going to hate him cause he's in the nfc, but he will be good.
NFC got a QB boost this season, Bears, Falcons, Vikings and Redskins all have their QBs of the future.

What do you mean by that? I think a lot of us older fans just know USC quarterbacks have it pretty good, as the name USC attracts highly rated offensive skill players and lineman. We also have seen many a highly touted USC QB go down in flames in the NFL or just be a career bottom level starter or back up. Hard to believe Matt Leinart hit the NFL almost 20 years ago.

I cannot believe the forum I came from had a low opinion of Pennix. He made plays I had to watch multiple times because I could not believe my eyes. I think this place does have better educated football fans.

They hope. Nobody knows for sure until the real action starts. A franchise QB needs to show he can be good year after year. Not just one or two seasons.
