Brenden Rice

We're going to need a 3rd receiver and although we are 2 years from this being a true need (we have Jauan Jennings until 2025), why not?

With 12 draft picks, this is just TOO tempting to pass up. It also gives us some options going forward with eitther of our top two receivers- just in case.

I'd be good with this too.....mind you, we will be picking LAST in the second round after having won the Superbowl.

Yes... and he's real good too.

Frank Gore Jr would be a nice returner as well.

Here I thought he was still at Colorado, I wasn't sure if I was looking at the same one. lol

Yah, the 49ers won't be able to get their hands on either of the sons. I would absolutely love Frank Gore Jr., I think he's much faster than his dad, they both are.

Frank Gore was really fast in college. He was in the 4.4 range before he had ligament tears in each leg. JR. has been timed as low as 4.43 and as high as 4.60. He's also 20 lbs lighter than his father.
Brenden Rice could slide back because the next draft has a lot of good O linemen and QBs. Both positions are valued more than wide receivers. Harrison will probably be the first receiver taken.

Im locked on Gore and Rice. Just need to settle on a few OT, OG, DT, and CB prospects

Gore had a very timid relationship with the concept of inertia.... The dude was almost an example of what the human body is capable of if you did not understand the laws of physics.

It is a common misconception that Gore tore two ligaments....that is not what happened tho, what happened is Gore hit the hole so quickly one time...he actually left part of his leg behind. Yeah...part of his leg had a momentary doubt that he could keep up with the rest of Frank Gore's body...so it fell off. I actually watched Frank Gore duck tape the two parts of his leg back together and finish the game.

That would make Jr under 200 lbs, correct?

If Rice is in the 3rd round I think they would draft him. 1st and 2nd round picks are going towards O-line and Secondary. IMO

I could've sworn I saw him listed in the 180's.

I agree. The need at WR is overshadowed by those 2 needs.
Even if they like him I'm not sure the inherited pressure and obvious shadow of his father would work here. IMO if his combine is good you know he's been taught how to play the position, I would t ind the pick. I'm seeing him as a 3rd comp pick to us in some mocks already.

No to taking him in the 2nd. 3rd round sure.
