If the Niners need to add to their WR corps, why not Deebo version 2.0. Like Samuel, Corley has a lower center of gravity and can break tackles at an incredibly unusual rate for the position. Would be an easy fit into Shanahan's system.

I was just about to make a post on this guy and saw yours first. Deebo 2.0 is exactly what I thought watching him. We absolutely need another guy like this who has that positional versatility. Kid looks fantastic. Would love for us to give him a look.

Definitely a good fit, his stat line usually looks like Deebo's. Will probably go toward the top of the 2nd I think

MBA, OTC, in your opinions, how does Corley compare with Ainias Smith, the WR from Texas A&M? I like both a lot but I think Smith is a better route runner and blocker. Plus in the mocks and big boards I have seen Smith is likely to be chosen later than Corley.

They're different prospects. Smith is a good 3rd down back - a good pass catcher and pass blocker. Corley is raw, and his usage doesn't immediately translate to the NFL but he is the superior prospect. He has elite contact balance, is more explosive, and is a tone setter. To me, Ainias is a pass catching RB. Corley is a WR who can see the field right away with gadget and schemed plays.

Agreed. Frankly, I'd love to pickup both and use them interchangably.
Get rid of TDP and replace him with a more multidimensional weapon.

Interesting thought. Depending on the Niners cap situation, they may have to let one of their starting WR's go. Niners could also replace Jennings and McCleod too. Getting both of these guys would solve a bunch of needs.

Of the 2 WRs, which one would you rather trade and what's the asking price?

It'd be Deebo, and I'd need enough in return to get both Corley (likely late 2nd/early 3rd) and Xavier Leggett (likely late 1st/early 2nd). Even then, I wouldn't want to do it.

Deebo misses games every year. $26 million in cap relief could help sign a good cb and RT. Leggett would be a great replacement with 5 yrs of cap relief. Next 2 spots would be TE and LT. Panthers would be team to trade with

I was going to post something similar. Watching him, Deebo jumps off the screen. This guy looks for contact and run through people like a running back. A player like this or a Keon Coleman in the offense would make it unreal to try and stop.

I was just doing an early "stats recon" trying to find a Deebo like prospect and immediately Corley's scouting report jumped out at me. When I did a search here in the Zone, imagine me surprise when I find this thread assessing Corley as Deebo-like.
Over the last several years, many teams have tried ro find a Deebo style player. The real Deebo is lightning in a bottle.
Unfortunately, we are starting to see the injury impacts of Deebos physical run style. It's time to actively be drafting (probably multiple players) to groom his replacement.
The one thing about Corley is that several of the scouting reports describe him as raw. We know that Shannahan is very tough on rookie WRs. I'd love to see them take Corley and then give him a "red shirt year" to groom him to take over for Deebo in the future.

Lot of talent will be around in that late 3rd round area.
Come on Panthers, hire Anthony Lynn.
