His teammate Fuaga is going to get more attention, as he should but Gray has been a very good OL in his own right and another college lineman headed to the NFL under the tutelage of Jim Michalczik who has a long track record of getting the best out of guys he coaches. Everywhere he's gone has seen outstanding rushing attacks and OL performance. He's been around so long that he was Alex Mack's OL coach at Cal and coached Russell Maryland at Miami. Its not a surprise that both Fuaga and Gray are technically sound and have steadily progressed as linemen throughout their college careers.
While Gray is a left tackle in college, he's most likely going to be moving inside at the NFL level due a lack of length and some other issues and as a guard he fits the sort of zone blocking ideal really well. He has really good mobility, hitting the second level with no issue, shows good awareness in picking up blitzes, seems like a really high football IQ player with good character and leadership ability. He's consistent in blocking through the whistle and has held his own as a run and pass blocker though he has struggled with more powerful DL's bull-rushing him at times. He has a big enough frame that he should be able to add more weight, hopefully build up his strength more in an NFL training program. He could be a very nice pickup in the middle rounds of the draft.

One of my favorite prospects. When watching him block in the run game it's obvious he is a fit in a zone scheme. Beavers whole line block well as a unit and he is a big part of their success. He is a football player, his combine numbers will be interesting to see. Good backup to have

Redshirt sophomore no? I wouldn't expect him to declare (of course he may have already and I missed it).
He looks really thin

The Combine and the offseason will be key for Gray. He will need to show he can add bulk and still retain his athleticism. Day 3 prospect at the earliest and more likely a priority UDFA unless he really impresses this offseason.

Where's the beef, lol? Lower half OK, upper half looks like a (high school) linebacker at this point. Also, we need to draft a guy who can actually STAY at left tackle. That said, I would still like to draft this guy, and 4 other OL, including one of the top centers--Powers Johnson, Van Pran or Frazier. Which one best suits us?
