Roger Rosengarten-OT-Washington

I'd be underwhelmed at 31, but I like him more than Suamataia
I think people need to remember that prospect rankings don't always mean anything. Every year a projected 3rd rounder goes in the 1st round and a projected 1st rounder goes in the 3rd.

Agreed

Rosengarten seems alright.

Yeah I just don't see a first round Tackle in him. He's exactly what you said, alright. That's how I'd feel if we took him too, just alright, depending on who we passed on though

I'm OK with Rosengarten being our 1st pick if it is a trade down and they pick up an additional 3rd. This would allow for draft capital to trade up

Yup I'd feel much better about him being the first pick if it was in the 2nd round after a trade back

Sure he doesn't look like the top round guys, but he may have enough to him for late first consideration. A lot of times there is a disparity of talent within a round itself.

I don't think he'll make it to 63. This is going to be a case of fans upset because of where these mock sites had him. I wouldn't love him at 31 but wouldn't hate it either

I mean film doesn't have him as a 1st rd pick either.

I would prefer a trade down and get him….end of the day it's a premium position and if they target him as their guy, is what it is. Like I said previously would be a total SF move

Kingsley isn't ready to roll, but the upside is very very good. He can be a future LT.

Maybe they are checking out Fautanu is prep for an Aiyuk trade?

Only way I'm thinking about moving him is for the Jags 17th and 96th pick. Same compensation when AJ Brown got moved.

grab Fautanu and Mitchell. That would be about as well as you could do with that scenario. I prefer not to move BA and go in another direction though, at this point he's proven and is better than damn near all these WR draft prospects

I admit I'm no expert on college offensive tackles. I'll put my trust in the 49er scouting department to pick a player that they feel will fit into Kyle's system That's not easy since few colleges run his type of offense. That's no guarantee that the guy will end up being good but they certainly know more than me.

I too would prefer him in the 2nd. HOWEVER, if Mims, Kingsley Suamataia, Mitchell and Kool-aid are off the board and our options are the IOL, DL, Rakestraw, Guyton, Morgan I would strongly consider Rosengarten. Would likely be between he and McConkey for me

Just do not agree and think Barton is the obvious pick here. Take rosengarten in rd 2

AJ Brown is the closest comp but that trade was 18 and 101 for a better, younger, and cheaper player.

I don't think either of those trades is on the table. Jags allegedly walked away when we proposed trading Aiyuk for #17 and Zay Jones (Zay Jones is worth nothing so basically rejected Aiyuk for #17 straight up).

It doesn't make sense for the Steelers to give up #20 given they aren't a contender / don't have a franchise QB unless they're really high on Fields. Eagles had a dominant running game, a young QB without many weapons, and a decent defense (+3.5 pt differential in previous season). The Steelers are a bad team that won more games than they should have (-1.2 pt differential, #25 in total yards, #21 in yards allowed).

If Fautanu or another top OT is there at 20, I could see us trading Aiyuk + a mid-round pick for 20 but I still don't think that trade makes sense for the Steelers. The only way it makes sense for the Steelers to trade for him is if he refuses to play out his contract, we lose leverage, and we're forced to take a bad deal (~2nd round pick).

Most likely outcome is we keep him and pay him $28M-$29M/year which I'm fine with.

I kind of doubt Mitchell is there at 31 but if I knew for sure he would be I would make that trade. Fauntanu and Mitchell would be a great haul and get us 2 high upside starters on rookie contracts.

Mitchell is a shanahan dog house wr if I've ever seen one, and I really like his talent.

Why is he better and cheaper? AJ is like a yr younger lol…The jags didn't walk away from anything, that again was fake reporting. Who the hell wants Zay Jones, his contract and constant injuries? Fake news.

Those are about as close as it gets with comps for talent and trade compensation.

Dude why in the world would SF give Pitt a mid rd pick and BA for a low mid rd 1st? It sounds like you don't think much of BA…I will disagree with that all day.
