2024 Draft Class: RB

Going to throw another name out there. Tyrone Tracy Jr. Played RB in high school, converted to WR at Iowa, converted back to RB at Purdue. Accomplished kick of returner. Ran the 5th fastest 3 cone and 7th fastest shuttle regardless of position at the combine. 6th fastest 10 yard split among RBs. Elite short area quickness. Admittedly, probably a better fit as a 3rd down back on a team with a power running game, but still has an intriguing skill set.

Saw some of him during the season. Great find scoot. Would not shock me at all if this guy is on our radar

Smh. The RB parade will never end. And this isn't to say anything bad about the prospect. Just the value of the pick. On another note, how does he know the 49ers have a 3rd round grade on him?

Lol but for real, I just quickly watched some of Guerendo, and he's got similar physical traits that the previous wasted 3rd-round RB picks had. Kyle is clearly looking for something that he feels is missing out of the backfield. He seems to want a bigger-bodied gap runner, but they can't seem to find that guy.

Also, for whatever reason, Mason doesn't seem to be fit what Shanny wants. .

I hated all the other 3rd round RBs. While I wouldn't love using a 3rd on a RB. I wouldn't mind the player. My favorite RB for us. Though I really really like Bucky Irving as well. Just not sure I'd spend a 3rd on either. I'd be ok with a 4th so I in theory should be ok with a 3rd I guess.

f**k man i thought he was maybe a 5th. Not ok with a 3 on him. This guy is a Mostert style RB, not a big body gap guy

Dude has 25 pounds on Mostert.
I Would be pissed there will be way better options with our third pick. I like the player but I've mostly seen him rated late 4th or 5th.

I'm not talking size, I'm talking he's a blazer and HR hitter. He's not some bruiser

Yeah rather not use a 3rd on a RB again. Dont hate him and I think he's a scheme fit overall. Ran a 4.33, but I feel like I don't see that sort of speed in games at least I don't see that explosiveness overall (he's fast but 4.3 at 220lbs is pretty wild)…he can catch and is a decent pass-blocker.

I still like jaylen wright more. He's a day 2 prospect imo…guerendo is more of a day 3 guy.

jaylen wright reminds me of Mostert…honestly I haven't watched to many RBs to get a sense of who's who.

I'm guessing they're looking for that Mitchell replacement. Dude can't stay on the field and we can have CMC taking 5 million touches again. No idea why Mason doesn't get more touches?

what's funny is he wasn't even mentioned in the top 20 of that draft guide I was referencing. But certainly seems like the type of RB they'd blow a 3rd on ugh

If you mean he's more of a natural zone than man, then that does seem right--although I only watched two games. But the dude definitely plays at his listed 6-1, 221 lbs size. He was trucking people, running through contact, and throwing DBs to the turf.

Seems to be pretty damn good out of the backfield as a receiver.

Completely agree with everything you said. That said, I wouldn't use a pick on anyone and just hit the UDFA market. Last I checked, we still have Mitchell and Mason who's more proven than both and we don't even f**kin use them.
