2024 Draft Class: WR

Anthony Gould has been a good return man at Oregon State. 4.39 speed. 3rd fastest 10 yard split at the combine. Has an electric burst. Not sure he has the receiving chops to make a roster as a 4th or 5th WR, but if you want a return man, he's worth a look. 2 punt return touchdowns in 2022. Averaging 18 yards per punt return over the last 2 years.

Took one to the house at the shrine bowl.

I like his movement. I'm not a scout but sometimes players make it look easy to see. That spin move was smooth af on that first clip. I like the name too as a niner. Strike Gould in the 6th rd for a RS!

Finally got around to watching some of the top WRs last night, just the highlight tapes I think I watched Odunze, Worthy, Nabers and Legette… and I know we don't have a chance at the other three anyway but OMG does Legette look like a future star or what? Don't get me wrong I want OL with our first pick but damn. I guess it was just the highlights but just seems to have star written all over him especially if we got him

edit: realized we might have a chance at Worthy and idk where Legette is projected, anyone ?

Man I love McConkey, but I feel like we'll be scared to take him because of that back injury he had. Depending on what it was, it could come back at any time. It had him out for a month this past year.

If Baalke wants him that bad, should every GM wipe him off their board?

::checks notes:: drafts AJ Jenkins, Quentin Patton, and trades for Jonathan Baldwin.

Yup...Pearsall is off the board lol.

If they were to trade Aiyuk, I'd expect them to go tackle with the earlier pick and then look at a receiver with their original 1st round pick.

Why I'm not worried about Aiyuk at all.

Either we keep a stud and proven guy for us or we end up trading him, saving a bunch of money and should have good spots to address a key need and try to replace BA.

The problem that we're all guilty of: in the excitement of the draft and learning about all these new prospects we'd love to have on our team, we forget that one does not simply replace a player like BA

Sure, but remember the best WR in the NFL was traded and replaced by several draft busts from other teams after failing to win TWO SBs. That team then went on to win the next TWO(???) SBs.
The team that got him, 9-8(W/O) 9-8(yr-1) 11-6(yr-2) and did not win a playoff game.
