Welp I'll just go ahead and prepare for the typical reach disappointment on day one of either Rosengarten or Paul

Rather have fisher in the 3rd than either of these guys in the 1st.

Hell, I'd take Fisher over Paul straight up.

I'm seeing some mocks and rankings showing Frazier above jpj. And a bunch showing the interior o line and centers simply not chosen until round 2.

Imagine having to choose from Barton, jpj, or Kingsley S.? What to do there? I assume the tackle, but my heart is saying take the center.

I am in the camp that a talent infusion at OT is CRITICAL. Of JPJ or Frazier are there, they have a higher success rate, but Kyle's history suggests he's not starting a rookie center.

I'd much rather take a shot at Kingsleys athleticism and future capacity to play LT, and draft one of the lower tier centers on day 2 or 3.

Now watch Kyle draft Ladd....

Agreed. Maybe it's KC that told him he wouldn't get past them? Seems kinda like their type of OT.

they have no LT right now…besides Morris. I just looked & they're paying Jawaan Taylor $25M these next two seasons 😝

I mean Ladd would f**k in this offense lol. Let's keep it real.

that said Kingsley's got the stuff you want for a future OT. He fits what they like.

I'm fine going center as well…that's a very important position on this team. I still really like McCormick/Bortolini as center prospects for this team.

Great centers often last 10 years of more and they don't demand a ton of money compared to some other positions. They usually call the signals on the line which is a big deal on a team that uses all the motions and shifts that the 49ers do. Most of the great teams in history have had a very good or great center. The Raiders and Steelers in the 70s. The Niners in the 80s.. The Dolphins in their best days.

Let's not forget that this is Patrick Paul hyping up Patrick Paul. I would treat this with a grain of salt.

I always thought this, but Baldy recently said it perfectly. The top 5 o line every year that pretty much everyone agrees on always have the probowl and all pro centers that season. Everything emanates from the Centers play. (and the man was an nfl offensive lineman so I certainly value his opinion) Brendel is mediocre at best.

Now NY made a great point. Do you take JPJ or Barton when there's a quality tackle there if you believe a guy like Nouzzrard or Bartolini will be very good and can be had in the middle rounds etc.

Exactly, which has more impact

Frazier / Amegadjie -or- Paul -or- Fisher

Kingsley / Nourzad -or- Limmer -or- Bortolini
Paul has insane measurables, but I don't think he anchors as well as other guys and to me, for being so big, his lower body honestly doesn't look that built.
I like him as a top 64, but round 1 seems to be a bit much.

Interesting that Daniel Jeremiah has him listed as #121 on his top 150 prospect list. That's a low 4th rd pick.

I'm starting to think we reach for Rosengarten at 31. Why? Because the Niners always reach and never select BAP.
I just want some OL who can consistently block guys like the Chiefs Chris Jones

The only way you get an OL that can do that, well first you have to go to customizations in Madden.
