2024 Draft Class: DE

Man, this is such a bad edge class imo. No blue chip talent, and super shallow. The best guys lack elite athleticism, the elite athletes lack everything else, and the depth is full of 34OLB archetypes. Really wish players like Princely and Jasheen had declared and that players like Abdul Carter were eligible.

Thankfully, it's a pretty good FA class.
Brian Burns
Danielle Hunter
Josh Allen
Chase Young
Jonathan Greenard
Zadarius Smith
Bryce Huff
Josh Uche
Leonard Floyd
Andrew Van Ginkel
Dorance Armstrong
Etc.

If I'm looking to go all in and the player is willing, I'm signing Danielle Hunter to a big deal. Zadarius or Floyd are your options for a moderate to large 1-2 year deal. I'd also he happy signing Chase to a moderate contract. But if I want a moderately priced long term option so that I don't have to platoon new cast-offs every year, I'm looking at Greenard and hoping he can stay healthy.

I read about Greenard yesterday after you said you wanted him. Pretty nice player.
works also Davenport onto the above list. Probably looking at another prove it deal
We visited with DE Jamree Komrah from James Madison. I scouted him a few weeks ago. Haven't decided on a grade yet.

Good size at 6-3 270 and has insane length, 35 1/4" arms. Not an explosive speed guy, but powerful and I think could be looked at as an edge setter and power rusher. Very productive with 10 sacks and 20+ TFL.

His teammate Green is the speed rusher IMO. I like both and could see either one being targets for us late.

Some clips of Green

Kneeland I like some things, I think he's a slightly more athletic and slightly more physically appealing Kerry Hyder. Strong work ethic, good traits. Not very explosive or necessarily a twitchy edge, but he finds other ways to beat you with his hands, power, etc -- very powerful. Any time he hits someone it's an absolutely nasty impact. He would be a nice mid round option.

I don't know enough about Kneeland outside of the Senior Bowl and whatever little clips I could find. Not much out there for western Michigan film.

I'm telling you, I don't care if he weighs in at 245. He's just a great football player who knows how to beat the guy in front of him, and seems a lot stronger than he looks or than you'd think at 245.

Ok, Chop Robinson also got me intrigued. Disruptive vs the run/pass Very good numbers at the combine. Thoughts?
