If I had to guess one position the Niners are guaranteed to draft I am going with DT. Armstead and Hargraves are both over 30 and Armstead himself is always hurt now. And they have no depth behind them at that position. I don't expect Hargraves and Armstead to be here in 2 years. A matter of fact I wouldn't be surprised if they double down at that position if the board falls that way.

Really starting to consider it might be a good idea to trade back. Imagine if we could add another day two pick.

Yea there are only a handful of prospects I'd consider at 31. Depending on how FA shakes out trading back might be my preferred choice as well.
That said, for the 1st time in quite a while I wouldn't be mad at trading up some to get one of the OT they like or a CB

To be fair, it's the same as I've always been I said in '21 that I wouldn't be mad at a small trade up that only required 3rd/4th round compensation. Which is only kind of trade up I'd be willing to do here.

totally random complaint…how annoying is larry krueger? I listen to a ton of 49er pods and follow the X stuff…this dude is straight awful. I can't stand his takes and his arrogance about the draft/roster building.

I'm more go BPA this yr lol. Just go get good football players. Don't focus so much on roster needs (and reaching for it). Ive always been anti-IOL in the top 50…this yr if they're BPA, draft him.
but yeah I'd welcome a trade if it made sense.

The only reason I don't favor a trade up right now is our cap situation. We have well over 15 positions to fill or upgrade and we'll need to do it for the longer term.
Sure we could sign a few cheap one year guys but that just pushes the hole out another year.

If we bring back clelin how does everyone feel about chop Robinson as a 3rd down pass rush specialist to start like Aldon smith (not same player but same rookie role)? Kiper had him mocked to us but didn't see much discussion about this guy on the site unless I missed it in the de thread.

We are either going to resign Chase or we will sign Brother Bosa after he becomes cap casualtied. My gut says it will be the latter.

Read the TK article you mentioned about trad up for OT. Definitely doable with all the trade capital ammo they have. Also thought it was interesting he predicts them all in on guys like burns or Allen.
