Blake Fisher RT - Notre Dame

Now that the first week of free agency is over and Niners have worked exclusively on the defensive side of the ball, it's time to talk about filling needs on the offense. It appears that 8 OT will go in the first round before the Niners pick at #31. Been seeing Fisher a few times on mock drafts as the Niners second round selection. Am I missing something here? This kid was projected as a late 3rd round or early 4th round pick for most of the offseason. Is he worth a second round pick or are all these draftniks wrong?
i think he's being a little over looked. He's got the ideal size and is a former 5 ⭐️

He's not an elite athlete, he's not Trent Brown either lol. He can get to the second level, he's got strong hands and his feet aren't super heavy. His achor is okay, but his pad level can get high. He's got some stuff to clean up. Overall I think he could be a starting RT for us & probably sooner than some think.

He's gonna be 21 come draft day. So he's still pretty damn young. He's on my day 2/3 tier list that I'd be happy with along with rosengarten, jones, Amegadjie
Also our second is basically a 3rd

I can buy that logic. Just seems a little early for me based on his initial scouting reports. I live in Seattle and saw a lot of Rosengarten who can pass protect but isn't that good as a run blocker. Armagadjie has the physical tools and the mean streak you like, but his level of competition is a concern. Jones is so experienced and seems like someone who could be a plug and play starter, but his ceiling isn't as high. Decisions, decisions...................

Yeah man, that's why they're not 1st rd guys. They got some holes to their game, projections, and/or have limited ceilings.

IMO that's why we should go OT in the 1st (possibly move up). That's a position you shouldn't wait on. IOL studs can be found all over the draft. Plenty of good prospects there. I've been saying go BPA, still stand by that BUT if you're in striking distance to one of those 1st rd guys move up.
I like Fisher alot. I think theres a few mid round guys that could push McKivitz for snaps at RT, and that confirms BPA at 31 for me.

I think there's going to be a massive run on OL considering the state of it currently in the NFL. Tackles in early to mid Round 1, guards and centers in early to mid Round 2 and another run in the late 2nd to mid 3rd. In that light I can easily see Fisher going earlier than where most have him currently.
After Fisher in the draft there is considerable falloff, I think he goes top of the 2nd
