2025 Draft Prospect Watch List and Discussion

McShay put out a video this morning in which he is hearing a lot of dline in the top 17, including the top 10, in part because teams don't see a lot of blue-chip talent and they might as well draft a premium position. This could impact the 49ers if guys they are targeting at 11 are gone. Now Shefty is reporting the niners want to trade down - I would be all for it, but it seems unlikely. McShay and DJ have also been reporting that lots of these prospects have character concerns. I wonder if the increased concerns are in part from these guys making a lot of money in college which attracts leaches and bad influence from friends and family. This draft seems all over the place.

Breer keeps bringing up Walter Nolen and SF.

Nolan seems to be a flit for the wide 9. He can play 3 technique on this line and interior is the greatest need on the team. I would be ok with this pick.

Edit: Graham could fall to 11 too. This idea that Jacksonville is taking him could be wrong. I see them taking offense. If Jacksonville passes, it would be interesting to see if Panthers or Bears take him.

I read the article about the Niners trading down. The problem is finding a team that wants to trade up. There aren't a lot of players that are standouts so it's unlikely that many teams will trade up. I'm not sure what trading back would accomplish other than getting even more picks. They already have eleven and it's not considered a great draft so why trade back. If they do I would want picks in next years draft.

Solid, but unlikely great

That's the overall theme with all these prospects. even with your boy Walker you gotta squint real damn hard to see some elite level EDGE.

We gotta keep it real and understand the every draft is different. This is a meat and potatoes draft full of good solid players that play mostly in the trenches. Similar to last yrs draft, I'm expecting some good starters. Not a bunch of pro-bowlers at impact positions

I don't disagree with that take, I think you can hit a double and take a solid player, that would be Harmon or Banks for me.

To get more it'll be a bit more punty like Walker, Green, Nolen, Stewart or Williams.

Dude is a fraud lol. He's been wrong so many times, including the whole Aiyuk is a Steeler BS.

He's just making the easy logical conclusion that the Pats will not have Hunter or Carter available when they pick and will look to protect their young QB.

Trading up would be for offensive players imo.

one of the TEs, T Mac, AJ or whoever is left at OT.

No he hasn't lol. He's clearly in the know with agents (or possibly an agent himself).

He wasn't wrong about BA and the Steeler almost happening. s**t changes, doesn't mean it almost didn't happen. No one is 100%, just ask Schefter and Mac Jones.

He's constantly calling out contracts well before they happened. Dude called out Ramsey possibly getting moved like a week prior.

there's a ton of BS accounts out there…he ain't one. There's connections. Doesn't mean stuff doesn't change after he posts something.

Why wouldn't they go Campbell? He's been a stud LT for years. Outside of not having elite length, he's what you want at the position. They have an awful OL. Their current LT is Vederian Lowe. I haven't seen a ton of mocks with Campbell going top 4.

Banks would be a let down pick for me. I don't think he would be a bad pick but odds are he will end up playing guard(there are a lot of people whose opinion I respect who believe that) maybe they're wrong and maybe he's good enough to stay on the outside. Just feels like if he ends up being his best version it would be inside which at the 11th overall is tough to swallow when we have all these other needs.

I want us to nail that pick and some of the guys I like are probably more risky but feel like IF they hit, they could give us an impact player at a more critical/needed spot.

Carter imo isn't a clean prospect either. Never mind the injury. Hunter is all but going to the Browns.

I'm sure he knows someone and has been riding the info he got ever since.

He claimed the deal was done and Aiyuk was a steeler a month before. He GUARANTEED it. Not sure why some of you guys hold him in such high regard. Pretty sure he popped up again recently with some other BS that didn't happen.

I have no respect for those accounts. They will very like will go Campbell, that's why I said he's being logical. I simply don't trust him as a source of anything legit. Just like that 49ers 24/7 account. Dude still has his Bucs are interested in Sherman tweet pinned as a "see I got sourced"

Meanwhile he had Nick Bosa in the air flying from Florida to SF to sign his extension for like a month. There are guys who have connects who don't post info until it's actually a done deal. I respect them a lot more.

So he called out like 20 things previously with startling accuracy, and was pretty much on the Steelers/aiyuk s**t before anyone, but he's a fraud? Lol
Interesting

The deal was damn near done. Compensation set and a contract was drawn up. Turns out BA didn't want to leave. Every day Rap and AS were saying the same thing.

things changes that stuff is fluid. Doesn't mean what he said at the time (before anyone else) was wrong or he was just throwing s**t against the wall.

not sure why you're so bent out of shape with that account? He CLEARLY knows what's going on in league circles. You don't toss out trades, FA signings and contract extensions numbers well in advance as much as he has without having some sort of knowledge there.

It's just another resource. He's not an aggregator who steals others stuff. You're lumping in posters like they're all the same, which is pretty silly imo.

You haven't been paying attention, if you think this dude doesn't have connections. He's been doing it for yrs in the NYG forums as well.
