Please be a Center with a 4th or 5th round pick.

Love how the rumors start trickling in the closer it gets to the draft.
That is very interesting, we'll see, hopefully he coaches someone picking above us!
Ton of nuggets in here

From that article regarding Barron….like I said I think he's a damn good DB. If we needed that NCB/star role totally get it. We just paid Demo a ton of cash to do that. Unless you're telling me he's gonna primarily be our outside guy and I think Demo is also better inside.

Barron is 5-11, 194 pounds with 29 5/8-inch arms, and faster than Johnson. He ran a 4.39 40 in Indy. (Johnson didn't test there.) Barron's jump numbers — a 35-inch vertical and 10-3 broad jump — were solid but not in the upper echelon of DBs. His play took a big jump forward in 2024. He won the Jim Thorpe Award as the nation's top defensive back after making five INTs to go with 11 PBUs and 67 tackles.

"I think he's a very specific fit," said DB coach No. 1. "I think he's a premier nickel in the NFL, specifically a zone nickel. If he went to San Francisco, I think he'd be elite-elite. He reminds me of Mike Sainristil but with a higher skill set. Same kind of playmaker, ball skills, zone awareness.

"I think he's still a bit of a projection at corner. He had like 45 snaps this year at Texas in press coverage, which isn't a large sample size. But I think he can play anywhere in the secondary, but best at nickel, which is a lot like the Cooper DeJean deal. Cooper was one of the best DBs overall in the class last year, but he slid in the draft because is someone going to invest that much in a nickel?"

The last time someone had 9er gear on before the draft was Patrick Willis. Stewart was seen with a 49ers backpack.

I feel like I've seen guys with 49er gear every yr at the combine after they meet with the 49ers

Well okay thats a relief.

That's a good read, and a lot of what I saw. I'd be fine moving Lenoir outside and plugging Barron in, he'd then be on the field over Green for me in base on the outside. We just don't draft DB's that high. I could see a board where we did it, but unlikely.
Now I'm seeing some reports of medical issues with Harmon

Yeah see that's where we differ, Lenoir shines inside. Barron will be at his best inside. IMO you're not really solving a problem on the roster.
It's going to be Mykel Williams (if he's available) or Jahdea Barron

I don't get what's wrong with these guys. It's only a contact sport and linemen deal with some of if not the most contact out of every player. Why are they always having health issues are they stupid or something?

Who you got as our 3rd CB? Tre Brown?

And how do you know Barron WILL be best inside? And if he is; so what? That's a great thing having two guys that can play inside and out in Demo and Barron.

I'd be fine with this. Especially if it's Barron

Good maybe he drops to #43
I'm down to be cool with almost any pick except...... if Johnson has a bum knee heeeellz no. He's off my board. And I do not want Warren. I'd take Jeanty before I took him.
