2025 Draft Prospect Watch List and Discussion

I just listened to Lynch's pre-draft conference, and I swear he had Shemar Stewart on his mind throughout the entire thing.

The players projected to go in the 1st and early 2nd round and are ranked outside of the first 6 or so players all have similar grades. The only trade i think will be made are the teams trying to get S Sanders and J Dart.

Or Mykel Williams.
A little bit too obvious I would say. I think they're gonna draft a DT. Mason Graham, Grant, Nolen or Harmon.

Yeah it's super easy to say we should trade down. But when teams aren't willing to trade up in this weaker top end draft not much a team can do but "reach". Agreed I think a team will trade into the late first to get Dart or Sanders to get the 5th year on em

I think you are right about QB. But I would add TE. And if there is not much competition to move up, that means you can offer less. So that moving up to 15 might cost the same as moving up to 11. In that case, you move early to control the narrative.

yeah, Mykell definitely fits as well. We probably shouldn't glean too much from the presser, but it left me feeling that they're going edge at 11.

I thought it was interesting that Lynch talked about how transferring schools could be a red flag, but to be careful because it's more common nowadays in college...but that s**t ain't common in high school. 👀

Lynch also said something very interesting during the presser about drafting for need. He said it's okay to draft a player that isn't a need as long if it's a quality player. That's a significant departure from the previous draft philosophy where they heavily weighed whether a player could fill a starting roster spot. This is where the "you don't come in and take AA/Marsh's job" line of thought manifested. Refreshing to hear them evolving their draft MO.

Nolen is out more than likely. He's gonna go to the Ravens/Pitt/Philly and f**k s**t up probably

I feel like every GM says that but it's almost always BPA of position of need.
With regards to Jahdae, I think he'd he completely on brand for the niners...him green and DeMo would be a very fun trio...

All relatively undersized but are "dogs" on the field and in the locker room. All scheme and alignment versatile. They absolutely can move around and be an elite trio
