2025 Draft Prospect Watch List and Discussion

If sanders isn't a 1st round qb, he will be a steal.

no he isn't Mahomes. But his arm talent is incredible. He has extremely quick throwing motion, able to move exit point, throw in the run, keep eyes downfield etc.

biggest concern is all the hits he's taking, and his attitude. IMO he needs to land at a place he doesn't start, with a strong veteran presence. So a late 1st rounder is probably ideal

He has no elite traits. Good to average across the board. He is also listed as 6'2", 215lbs which isn't bad but also nothing special. I also wouldn't be shocked if Deion is inflating that to help with the draft stock.

So same size as Caleb, lol

My first official mock draft of the cycle (with alternates):
FA: Spencer Brown, RT
1 Shavon Revel, CB | ECU
2 Josh Connerly, OT | Oregon
3 Dontay Corleone, DT | Cincinnati
3 Jake Slaughter, OC | Florida (Jonah Monheim, OC)
4 Marcus Mbow, LG | Purdue
5 Jasheen Davis, EDGE | Wake Forest
6 Harold Fannin Jr, TE | Bowling Green
7 Derrick Canteen, CB | Cincinnati

CANTEEN OVERRATED. .. HE OVER RATED..
Tuned in to see Dylan Stewart vs the LSU tackles. Ended up being super impressed with #5 instead; Kyle Kennard. Got Campbell a few times, setting him up with speed around the edge and then countering back inside.

Stewart's bend is still phenomenal, but as expected from a freshman, he needs to get bigger and stronger

Who's this Childress guy for Kentucky, sign him up
Shavon Revel won't make it to the niners pick, I fear
Jared Wilson OC Georgia
6'3" 310 lbs

Looking at centers this later round prospect caught my eye, good movement skills and pass blocker. Kind of limited experience but all the tools are there to develop. Has strong character as well from what I read
Didn't get to watch USC v Michigan live, but recorded it and will try to watch tonight. I want to see how Monheim (USC center) held up vs the beast of a interior IDL on Michigan. I saw the one viral clip that didn't look good for Monheim, but that's expected vs one of the top IDL prospects in a while.

Correct, he signed an extension a few days after I posted this
If the injuries keep piling up, the Niners picks are going to be significantly higher than is currently being projected. Time to start looking at mid 1st round prospects unless the Niners right the ship soon. If that becomes the case, I would expect them to be looking at CB's and Edge rushers first as there is no consensus stud OT so far.
Bama vs Georgia; man what a game. Almost an all-time melt down by Bama, but they did just enough in the end, thanks in large part to Ryan Williams, the most electric 17 year old I've ever seen...

LT Overton: not an overly productive game, but continues to flash unique tools. Fun to watch a man that size line up at 9T in a 2 point stance. Not sure what exactly he will be in the NFL, but he's a player that i assume the 49ers are watching closely.

Parker Brailsford: didn't see anything that popped off the screen to blow me away, but saw what I wanted to see. He wasn't tested much 1 on 1, but he held his own vs the size and strength of a Georgia DL.

Jalen Milroe: not a candidate for the niners obviously, but my dynasty team continues to be intrigued. Had a very impressive 1st half.

Trevor Etienne: very impressive contact balance

Georgia center #55: didn't focus on him, but he did appear to hold up nicely in pass pro.
