Yay, someone did the cutups for us

Some beautiful reps in there. So fun to watch a 290lb guy with absolute knee scratchers lined up on the edge in a 2 point stance.

Anyone else a little concerned with the lack of sacks throughout his college career?

Kinlaw was an extremely raw guy with known knee issues. At this point they should stay away from anyone with significant injury concerns.
That's my point. How do we know this management is not gonna f**k up the pick? Easy to say years later at the time they made the pick. What if that's the top pick on their board going into the draft? You can pretty much say the same thing for every bust picks that were pick in the history of the draft. My guess is as good as yours which in the end doesn't really count with this management.

I understand that. My point was we can say this player is better than this player but we ended up scratching our heads sometimes the way we use the high picks relative to the weakness of the current roster that year. For example, last year we were all banging the table for a Center whether we use one early(Frazier/JPP) or later(Limmer). We didn't invest one unless we count an undrafted one. That Center problem continued to help ruin last season. Sure last draft was good overall while other years was not so much on the high picks. I'm worried about our OL and how much left on Trent W tank. Btw, if we trade down, would you be ok if Josh Simmons is the pick?

It seems I'm his biggest fan on the boards, and I'm concerned hahah. But he can learn to play more under control, but he can't learn his tools, which are truly rare. Worst case scenario, he's a standout run defending edge that can blow s**t up and create chaos vs the pass, even if it doesn't result in sacks.

Yes, looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane

Inaccurate statement
After Mason Graham all the DT's projected in the 1st round lack pass-rush techniques.

He doesnt play like Jane, he plays hard, has a great motor but has no real pass rush plan much of the time. Like an oversized Tazmanian devil. I don't know that I'd be happy with him at #11 but late 1st round? Definitely.

This is somewhat true. But I would still take a swing on Harmon or Nolen—not at 11, though.
saw a mock with Armand Membou at 11 and Walter Nolan at 43. Love this. Membou seems underrated now but I think his value will move to the top of OL during the process. He's a freak. I love Nolen and Harmon but both will go in first round I think, mid to late.

Membou might project as a guard in NFL, , but if SF thinks he can step in at LG and be a pro bowler, it might be worth a look

I think the niners will be high on Scourton on day 1 or Swinson day 2. Id be happy but far from excited with either pick.

Scourton looks like he'll be a good edge-setter who is stout against the run. But he isn't going to offer much from a pass rush perspective IMO.

I don't TOTALLY agree. I think the niners might look at him as the closest thing to Jared Verse in this class. Id probably rank him edge4.

I'll be shocked if Connelly isn't the pick at 11. The Niners never go for a sure thing in round one and thus they reach. Picking a player with a second or third round grade at 11 is par for the course for Shanny and Lynch. What amazes me is why don't we trade back, amass more picks and THEN make your selection? Connelly or Ersery out of Minnesota should be there in the second. So be patient and don't reach!

But this is the Niners…..

Edge4–presumably after Carter, Pearce, and Stewart?

I know sacks aren't the only thing, 4.5 in 3 yrs is a bit shocking. Like you said he's got the tools he's just had no idea how to really rush the passer.

It's all teachable stuff, but top 11? Can't do it. Trade down a couple times and sure.
