2025 Draft Prospect Watch List and Discussion

I do agree that they are more likely to take a defensive player that early but I wouldnt rule out OL either depending on who is available. Someone like Conerly fits everything this offense does to a T.

It was #9. Remember it like yesterday as I was so sure and happy that we would be getting Minkah or Derwin James. Then some guy on this board spoke Mcglinchey into existence

I'm expecting the same thing to happen in this draft. I'm in love with Starks and he'll be right there for us to take. Instead; we will reach for a Tackle and not one of the ones I'd be okay with

No need to take a OL in round 1. You can get the same guy in the 2nd. Just nothing special about this group of OL. Good depth, but no bonafide freaks.

Agreed. Which is exactly why they are going to do it. Watch

He speaks the truth
All the Starks fans are overlooking Emmanwori. This dude is going to be the gem of this class on defense. He's got elite size and traits for the safety position. He's gonna sky rocket up the board after his pro day/combine. If you haven't seen him yet, go take a look. At 6'3" 227 pounds he's got 4.4 maybe even 4.3 speed. A freaking tank that moves like a jet. He'd upgrade this defense on day 1.

I like his length but he doesn't run real fluid. I think he's another box safety, which we don't need.

I see him different. He's extremely fluid for someone 6'3". I think he has enough range for single high, and definitely zero concern for two high. Stud.

As for the OL discourse and the guys in round 1 being the same as the guys in round 2...what happens when the first 6 are all off the board before our 2nd pick?

Safety version of Tremaine Edmunds. Jack of all trades/master of none size/speed freak with subpar instincts and so so awareness. Starks and Watts are both far more natural centerfielder types. Emmanwori is destined to be more of a box safety or even a star position type safety/LB hybrid.
I also think that niners might draft Deone Walker. Yes at 11

i would be shocked if they couldn't trade back if they really wanted him.

Why can't we like guys with low pad level. Give me Aeneas Peebles in the mid round please.

Sseriously lol
Elijah Arroyo is the kinda guy I want at TE2. could be a really good value in this draft. Not gonna say who he reminds me of but if he HANGS around in the draft it would be a KILLER pick.

NFL teams still get it wrong half the time. In every sport athletes have to rise to a new level as their career progresses. Projecting whether any player is going to be able to compete at the next level is always a crapshoot. There are very few sure things.

Oh absolutely. NFL teams are dealing with far more comprehensive and detailed information on these players and still miss all the time.

If anything I think there might be too much info for teams, makes them over think their views on certain players.

Also believe guys who fail and success a lot has to to with the situation they were drafted into. Exmaple: Maybe Mahomes would have sucked here, or Fields would have been very good etc. There are a ton of variables.

Exactly. We have needs along the o line, and have a thin class. So they may have cornered themselves into taking one. (tackle)
