Harold Fannin Jr-TE-Bowling Green

If the 49ers want an explosive threat at TE, someone that can be a real weapon in the pass game, this is the guy. He's been unbelievable this season, pretty much carrying the Bowling Green offense which is very rare for a TE. In many ways he's like a really big receiver more than an undersized TE, he runs crisp routes, shows great hands and aggression in attacking the football, YAC monster that is always looking for more yards after the catch but he's also a fiend as a run blocker. He'll be a nice mismatch for someone.

☑ "savage run blocker"
☑ RAC monster
☑ strong catcher in traffic

Right now?....mid 2nd to late 2nd round I'd say. He's not a prototypical 6'5", 250 TE but he can be a valuable weapon for someone. If the 49ers move off Deebo, Fannin could replace some of his versatility. Bowling Green use him all over the place, in the backfield, in the slot, out wide..etc.

He's a small school prospect that dominates in ways you would expect from an upper NFL tier prospect. If you can find footage from his game at Old Dominion, it was some ridiculous stuff.
The TE class overall is nice at the top. Fannin is my favorite but Warren and Loveland are also very good options.

Lachey from Iowa is a nice value prospect that if he can overcome his injury issues might turn out to be a very good NFL TE.

Id guess Warren is first off the board. All three should go in the top 64

So there's a good chance we can land him!

One of those guys who should be a niner and will end up going to a rival team. Knowing Kyle, they sign a TE2 that can block, but it would be nice to see them spend the first two picks in the trenches and then trade up for him if he's still around late into the 2nd or early in the 3rd.
