Fair assessment, Niner picks from Michigan have not been kind.

Nothing is ever a sure thing. There are tons of "sure things" which have flamed out and now work where the hell ever. It's a crapshoot and will always be. Whatever moves the Niners make in the draft, everyone involved is going to have to live with it. Good thing is, won't cost the fans nothing (well, those who don't live and die by what the Niners do, or don't do).
We sure we want this boy? He looks like, (not my quote), a bag of milk :P

Guy was wrecking people as an 18 year old. He's an absolute monster.

Gonna go top 5
His hand usage is next level for most college players, you can see his wrestling background come through with how quickly and violently his hands shoot out.

Kyle seems to be infatuated with Deebo and I don't think he would ever trade him, but I think number 11+ Deebo for the Jaguar #5 is a pretty fair trade for both teams. Although I don't think this is a super deep draft, I would prefer to keep our picks because we have so many areas of need especially the offensive line.
I think we can be competitive next year but realistically, I think we're a couple years away from being back near the top of the league.

So you're saying Deebo is worth around the 35th pick in the draft (if we're going off draft value chart) yeah I don't see any team going for that.

I think the OL isn't as horrible as everyone is thinking.

Trent is still really good, we will need at LG and center, RG is set and Colton was actually serviceable.

get a center in FA and draft an OT in the top two rds that can play inside until we're ready to push him out. Get some developmental guys later.

Thomas and Moody were way way way way way overdrafted. that's on our FO. Bell was a late round flyer
Hard to tell if this guy will just fall right in our laps. Ward and Sanders will come off the board early. I'm thinking 3 tackles in the top 10, Then you got the corner from Michigan along with Hunter in the top 10. Plus you got Scourton and Mykel Williams.

What's the cost to move from 11-5?
What i believe to be the most recent precedent:

12, 34 and 168
for
6 and 81

Jahmyrr Gibbs, RB Sam LaPorta, TE and Owen Papoe, LB
For
Paris Johnson, OT and Tyjae Spears, RB

Pretty steep... a low 1st/high 2nd and a 5th for a mid 3rd
Very steep. We can't lose the second. Maybe a future 2nd and then 3rd and a future 3?

No way, but I would be very happy to be wrong. I'd love graham. Then second o line. Then somewhere in the middle get a 340lb stuffer to rate next to him.

I hate this kind of thinking because there is no depth of analysis beyond the school. Bell was a 7th round pick. Shouldn't have expected much (Most 7th round picks are not Jauan Jennings(, Moody was overdrafted. Most of us thought that on draft day.

If we had a shot at an Aidan Hutchinson type of player, do you pass because he went to Michigan?

Maybe. Maybe not. The Top 10 in this draft class is kind of a mess honestly.

Hunter
Ward
Sanders
Johnson
Graham
Abdul
Banks
Campbell
McMillan
Williams

could all go in almost any kind of order.

Unless I'm reading it wrong 5th pick is 1700 and 11 pick is 1250 ( this is assuming we stay at 11).
Thats a difference of 450 which is pick #45 value. Your right though there may not be a team willing to do that, but I would not use picks to trade up.
Depending on free agent comings and goings I agree we need C, LG and tackle ( 2 for future ) and Qaulity TE to develop. On Defense we need DT, Edge and Another LB, I think we still need a Deep safety and some depth at CB.
