Tank-A-Thon: 49ers Draft Position Tracker

These are the games this weekend that affect the 49ers draft slot. 49ers could move up to #15 this weekend with a loss to the Bills and wins by the Rams & Bucs.

15. Buccaneers (5-6) at Panthers (3-8)
16. Rams (5-6) at Saints (4-7)
17. 49ers (5-6) at Bills (9-2)
With the roster so beat up i think we are looking at finishing up 7-10. I haven't looked into the draft too much yet, but I guess I need to.
There's nobody in that draft that is worth a tank. Only Bosa was a tankable player. All of these other mids are just overhyped overrated loudmouths. I.E. Deion Sanders' kids.

Say what you want about the ShannyLynch regime, but they know how to find gems late in the rounds.
That's true, but our inability to find more gems early is why we are where we are now...

I don't know much about his personality/attitude (which is important) but I hear nothing but good things about Shedeur. He'll probably bump up the board into the top ten along with Cam Ward and Jalen Milroe. He's a pure pocket passer with elite processing skills on top of the athleticism that he gets from his father. If Brock underperforms the rest of this season, injuries or not, and we get closer and closer to the top-ten would we even think it? It's okay - go ahead and chastise me. I mock drafted Bo Nix in fun (dude is playing out of his mind under Payton's tutelage btw) for us in an early early early mock last season (because we weren't sure about Brock coming off that elbow injury), posted it in the running mock draft thread and got crucified lol.

Skattebo in round 2. Let CMC play WR most snaps

Damn only 17. If we don't win against Buffalo we should really tank and try to get a top 10 pick so we can finally get a top flight OT. Maybe trade back into the first and get a C also.

The kid was a beast yesterday, he couldn't be stopped!!!!
Given their draft history (Joe Williams, Jalen Hurd, Trey Sermon, Tyrion Davis-Price, Issac Guerendo) it is likely that we will see a RB pick in round three thru five), especially since Mason and Mitchell are free agents after this season.

I wouldn't be surprised if we took a RB Round 3. But Mason is a restricted FA so he will be back.

Restricted free agents (players whose contracts expire and have three accrued seasons) will make the following salaries if tendered:

  • Right of first refusal (no draft compensation): $2.985 million
  • Right of first refusal and compensation of player's original draft round: $3.116 million
  • Right of first refusal and second-round compensation: $4.89 million
  • Right of first refusal and first-round compensation: $6.822 million

These are the 2024 RFA numbers. I am doubting they will designate 1st or 2nd round compensation since the salary appears a bit high for Mason. I am assuming that the 2nd option is not available since Mason was an UDFA?

It's not like we'll be tanking so much as it will just be water finding its own level.

Even at full strength our roster is thin and the cupboards not as full as we should like them to be. It is a mediocre roster.

Ideally, we use the draft slotting we will garner from our mediocre season to start to build the lines up.
glad this thread exist already

prep me boys.
