49ers have 11 picks right now. Don't think there's 11 spots on the team. Trade up a bit and get quality over quantity. Moving up to the beginning of rd 2 could help draft a RT. Trading back from 11 could land an additional 2nd rd pick. Use this to trade back into 1st rd could also be an option

They tend to be better in the middle and later rounds. But bust in the 1st and 2nd which is terrible. With the exception of Bosa. Not even sure about Dee_VAH Samuel in the 2nd anymore. Was he that good of a pick?

Current tank-a-thon standings. With the Saints loss, the 49ers can do no better than #11 in the draft. With a win over the Lions the 49ers move to #14 or #15 this week depending on the Dolphins/Browns result.

11. 49ers (6-9) +3.5 vs. Lions (13-2)
12. Colts (7-9)
13. Cowboys (7-9)
14. Cardinals (7-9)
15. Dolphins (8-8)
16. Bengals (8-8)

Edited with Dolphins win over the Browns.

Surely there's 4-5 guys taking up spots that can be upgraded during the draft. Center, TE2, CB3 to name few.

im in agreement with you though. Trade down from 11, hopefully pick up an extra 2nd round pick in the process and take the best OT available in the 1st. Then either package picks to move back into the 1st or use the 2 2nd rounders on the best DL available and a center if the value is there. Time to restock the cabinet with blue chip talent.

I'm all about the trenches, but here's a question: If Tetairoa McMillan falls to us, do you take him? I only ask because I feel like he could be a special talent, reminds me of Mike Evans a bit.
I'd still not feel right taking a WR instead of OL, DL, though

If we draft yet another WR in the 1st round while ignoring offensive and defensive line I will punch somebody in the mouth.

Yep, highest we can go is #11 and as low as #14. I guess a top ten pick wasn't meant to be.
