I don't know much about him, anyone?

He played at ASU before he transferred to Nebraska. Was a starter at tackle and center before leaving. A solid lineman at ASU but I didn't follow him after that.

ASU you said? So basically a 49er?

Any new player that brings competition for our Center position I'm down with!

This dude will be better than Brendel by the time he has 3 NFL meals / practices at 49ers camp! Snag eem!!

He's 6'5, 310.

I think it's a common theme that Shanahan will not start an undersized center

Weston Richburg - 6'4, 295
Alex Mack - 6'4, 310
Jake Brendel - 6'4, 300

I think this rules out all these center prospects who are 6'2, 290.

That won't be hard to do!

I really think a trade down to take either Derrick Harmon, Walter Nolen or Kenneth Grant would be smart and then trade back into the back half of round 1 to take Grey Zabel and start him at center.
If it means getting rid of brendel, draft him at 11 idgaf. I can't take another year of brendel

If they are showing interest in a guy who probably will not even be drafted, it's not very likely they would use the first round pick on the position.
They haven't shown any desire to use draft capital on the position since Kyle got here.

Lose a Banks, add a Banks ?

Lol ikr

While Banks is making real bank now on new team, the 49ers could be saving bank by drafting younger Banks
Not sure if this YouTube link will be allowed, but this is a great breakdown of the best fit for our offensive line in this draft:

Krueg is awful at anything prospect related. Constantly contradicts himself. Lies about watching film. Says he likes someone without any reason for it (at most because of some useless trivial thing), much less specifying a game, rep or season stat.

In this video, he thumbs his nose at Membou, Campbell, Banks to hype up Myles Hinton? If he watched the combine alone, he'd see Hinton is slow af, unlike what the sheet Krueg's reading off of says.

He might have insight into things that go on in the FO but his opinion on prospects is as well informed as a monkey's on nuclear physics.

This forum is littered with much more insight, be it from posters themselves or sources with film and data to back it up.

I can't fathom the obsession over measurements the NFL has. The difference between Membou and Will Campbell is now apparently a 1/8 of an inch, do we realise how small that is?

Even if as measured at the combine it's less than a full inch, it's just ridiculous. Campbell's tape is better than Membou's, yet he can play tackle and Campbell has to be a guard. Make it make sense
