Then don't reach at #11 trade back in the 1st 4-10 spots and grab an extra 2nd/3rd rounder which we can use on DL/EDGE along with our other 2nd and 3rd rounder.

Getting Simmons at #18 and now having two 2nd rounders to grab Derrick Harmon DL and Darius Alexander DL and then EDGE at #75 is much more preferable than reaching for OL at #11 just because you are fixated on fixing the OL. Take the best player available at our spot. If that's Malachi Starks take him. If it's Warren take him. If it's an OL take him. Just take the best talent possible. If you don't that's how you get Mike McGlinchey and miss out on Fitzpatrick. Bet you loved that McGlinchey pick lol

I didn't realize Simmons had a torn Patellar Tendon. That s**t is brutal. That's what basically forced Richburg to retire (and a lot of other NFL players have never really been the same after that injury). I would be super hesitant to take him in rd 1

Replace with Membou then on a trade back. He's worth it at #16-21 and value would meet need there imo.

I've seen some mocks with Membou going 11 to us . Would suck to trade back and miss Membou and Starks

It would suck to take an Oline at 11 when our D is like running through a wet paper bag.

Shanahan has shown he can call an offense and have success with average guys.

Jaylon Moore - 271 snaps at LT
Nick Zakelj- 172 snaps at LG
Spencer Burford- 113 snaps at LG

Charlie Heck started a game at LT and had 87 snaps
Ben Bartch started a game at LG and had 65 snaps
Austen Pleasants had 67 snaps

As for McKivitz. We are getting league average play at RT for 6 million dollars. That is great value.

If anything we must improve at center over Brendel. He was terrible.

"Center is especially vital in Shanahan's system since it's tasked with identifying safety rotations, setting protections, and executing difficult reach blocks that are indispensable to the outside-zone rushing attack"

-Drew Dalman would be a fantastic signing.

-Use 43 on a guard who can play tackle if Trent Williams misses time. My favorite is Donovan Jackson followed by Jonah Savaiinaea. If Williams misses time they can start at LT.

Then look to add a tackle in the 3rd. Chase Lundt is my top guy. He would be ideal as a swing tackle and a nice successor at RT if we don't resign McKivitz next year. He reminds me of a more athletic Spencer Brown from the Bills who was also a 3rd round pick.

Re-Sign Bartch as a backup guard to compete with Burford. Cut Brendel. Let Jaylon Moore and Aaron Banks leave. Re-sign ERFA Austen Pleasants and Charlie Heck for practice roster depth

LT- Trent Williams
LG- Donovan Jackson
C- Drew Dalman
RG- Dominick Puni
RT- Colton McKivitz / Chase Lundt

*Spencer Burford and Ben Bartch compete for the backup OG position.

*Matt Hennessy and Nick Zakelj compete for backup C and OG spot

Practice squad competition:

OL Austen Pleasants
OL Charlie Heck
OL Sebastian Gutierrez
OL Zack Johnson
OL Drake Nugent
OT Isaac Alarcon
OT Jalen McKenzie

Why do people think Starks is worth a top 11 pick? If you're taking a S that high he's gotta be something special. 9ers passed on Fitz and James previously and he ain't at their level.

I'll take Membou over him all day. I also don't think they can trade back and get him at this point.

I think Starks can be every bit the difference maker that Kyle Hammilton has been for the ravens. For OL, while I'm fine with one being the pick at 11, my ideal scenario is:

FA: Dalman and Bartch
Draft: Belton and Lundt

Can he guard Kelsey though? That's all we really need.

Because he's one of the best players in the draft; regardless of position. One of the blue chippers. He is special and has a very good chance to be better than both Fitz and James.

I take Starks over Membou all day. This would be like Mcglinchey over Fitz and James all over again.

Membou over Starks? Not a chance.

I'm not taking a guy who is 6'3 at 11 and will probably be stuck at guard. He's not Rashawn Slater.

Eagles O line and D line overpowered the Chiefs, proving that you gotta be strong in the trenches

Great OL if this happens. Donovan Jackson is my #1 OL. Only difference is I'm hoping for Andrew Mukuba with the 3rd rd pick. Who do you have going in the 1st round?

A lot depends on free agency. I'm hoping we sign an edge and DT. Azeez Olujari and Milton Williams would be fantastic signings .

If we do sign a starting DT and DE then some combination of DT, S, OG and OT in the first 3 rounds. (Mason Graham is my #1 but I don't think he will be available)

I want that OL like Belton or Jackson to be able to play LT in-case Williams misses time and Lundt is the ideal swing tackle for us and a potential starting RT in a year if we don't re-sign McKivitiz who is in the last year of his deal.

1.11- Kenneth Grant, DT- Michigan
2.43- Xavier Watts, FS- ND
3.75- Anthony Belton, LG- NC State
3.99- Chase Lundt, OT- UConn

Or:

1.11- Malachi Starks, FS- Georgia
2.43- TJ Sanders, DT- South Carolina
3.75- Anthony Belton, OL- NC State
3.99- Chase Lundt, OT- UConn

Or:

1.11- Walter Nolen, DT- Ole Miss
2.43- Donovan Jackson, OG- OSU
3.75- Billy Bowman, FS- Oklahoma
3.99- Chase Lundt, OT- UConn

Then look to find a LB, TE and maybe another edge in round 4.

Why do you think that? I think they are extremely different players. You gotta be a legit generational level S to get taken that high. There's a reason why they don't get taken that high in drafts.

thankfully this FO doesn't value S to the level that they think they have to invest a top 11 pick there.

That tells you how underwhelming this draft is and why we should move down or trade that pick in a package to get an elite EDGE. What is he special at? I'm sorry I see a good player, I don't see anything to the level that Fitz or James was.

taking a S over a OT for this team

Good call.

I think Garret will be too rich a trade package. 2 1st ++

Maybe Try Hendrickson DE Bengals - 17 sack last season and 14 in years past would be a possibility?

Thoughts?

I'm all for Hendrickson, super underrated and he fits the model we like at DE.

Teams are gonna have to toss 2 1sts to beat our 11th overall pick.
