Josh Conerly Jr-OT/OG-Oregon

Really would be an outstanding fit at either tackle or guard in this offense. I think he's a potential Trent Williams replacement that you could easily put in at LG until he's ready to take over. Excellent athleticism and footwork, rarely is he beaten by speed on the outside, great awareness and ability to adjust his protection, pick up blitzers and is tremendous blocking on the run down the field. He's not the prototypical size tackle that Kyle tends to go for but he possesses all the traits needed to play tackle in this offense. There's quite a few similarities to Rashawn Slater of the Chargers who has become one of the best tackles in football.

Pure LT at the next level IMO, something I never saw in guys like McGlinchey.
Was hoping he'd be around in R2

I think with the offseason circuit he'll very easily move into the mid to late 1st round. He won't be the top tackle on the board but he could easily turn out to be the best pro tackle from this draft class.

Looks that way on the above and a few of the draft profiles I just read (bleacher report, draft network and nfl draft buzz)

Has some potential as maybe a 2nd round pick. He's a little small for an NFL tckle and at 6'4" may not be able to add much weight. I wouldn't draft him in the first since he's not a sure fire replacement at left tackle.

He's the same size as Rashawn Slater who is one of the best left tackles in football today. And the only way he's going in the second is if he beats up some Girl Scouts and steals their cookies between now and the draft.

I think he could be an exceptional guard but his foot quickness, balance and ability to mirror quicker edge rushers screams tackle.
I see Oregon all the time, he has looked like a good fit to me as well. The Penn State game he seemed to rise to the occasion, probably in the conversation for sure. I don't think he will make it out of the 1st, everyone needs OT help

Wait until the combine. Players rise and fall all the time. I rerad some scouting reports and there were concerns about lower body strength and hus ability to handle bigger edge rushers. Anyway we agree that they need to drft O line.

The combine is only likely to strengthen his case for going early if he's a full participant. According to the Oregon staff his agility numbers are ridiculous.

Concerns about him not being able to handle power are overrated IMO from all the games I've watched. He certainly could stand to add some strength but he's been more than able to hold his own for two years against upper echelon competition. Trent Williams had some of the same exact knocks as he was also another undersized tackle coming out in the draft.

The more I'm reading on him, he seems to check all the boxes for what they need in an OL. Could step in and immediate challenge for RT starting spot, but if CM holds him off could slide inside to either G spot and then down the road be TW successor at LT

What's also good about this kid is that he's basically been healthy his entire college career, 49er need that.
