2nd-3rd Tier OT

This is exactly the type of thinking that has got the Niners into this mess in the first place. However, the three best prospects IMO that fit the Niners versatile linemen profile are the following:

Arnaud Membou Missouri
Marcus Mbow Purdue
Charles Grant William & Mary

All three can play tackle or guard and have the movement skills to play in the Niners zone run scheme. At this point, I hope we land Banks, Campbell or Simmons in the first and get one of these guys on day two.

I'm banning the next person who brings up Simmons. Enough of the ACL projects and guys with messed up knees. It almost always ends up blowing up in their faces.
Been reading great stuff on Grant. Sounds like he could move inside immediately and some good upside at OT. Would be nice in 3rd

I'm onboard getting two OL in the top 4 picks. Lock Forester in a room away from the draft if they don't get rid of him. I was thinking two OT and a C in FA but I don't see a sure pickup there. Maybe OT then OG/C.

Forester still believes he can take a less talented player and develop them. He should be fired so we can get someone who craves talent. We have seen what happens when we don't deal with improving our line talent, Puni was a hit so far but that's it. We need to have a good to great oline that can give Purdy more time. He's shorter so he needs more time for plays to develope.

In reality, he has. But the starting point is so low in many cases. He's gotten by with mostly day 3 guys. Contrast that with Kocurek, who has gotten a steady dose of D line guys with elite traits.

I don't care man, If he's there end of round 1 top of round 2 because of injury, I'd be estatic if we moved up to get him. I do agree the risk is too great at pick 11.
I'm hoping they get Banks, Milum or Campbell at #11.

After that, I'm fine with taking a 2nd olineman in the 3rd (comp) or 4th.

Milum at #11 should result in someone getting fired immediately.
Grey Zabel OL NDSU might be a hell of a OG/C at the next level. Seeing top 50 pick for him all over the place

I think a couple OT will go before we pick. We could trade down or i wonder if they will fall for an impact player there and then pick 2 of these players in the 2nd and 3rd,

Trade down and acquire an additional 2nd. Derrick Harmon in the 1st. Armand Membou in the 2nd and Donovan Jackson in the 2nd

Fine, swap Ersery in there for Simmons in the first.

Another BC product that played both tackle positions since his sophomore year. Very good pass pro and still developing in the run game. Good movement skills for a 6'8" 310 lbs. His dad also played tackle for National Championship (Flutie's Hail Mary throw).
