2025 EDGE class

Watching more Texas, and I just assumed that 88 Barryn Sorrell wasn't eligible as I've heard zero buzz, but this guy is good. He's a handful, nearly always against LT's and had success Vs a lot of them. Not all that explosive, but hands are decent and has a plan. Ok measured a bit small and light I can see why there's less buzz. Good rotational edge though.

I think there will be a lot of quality DL guys to come out of this draft. I'm excited to see who we snag up. Will be quality guys in the mid rounds, IMO.

Would love either the Pats or Bears to take him, take away the temptation, and push some more talent down. Especially Pats, as that would likely mean another O-Lineman is on the board
Get him across from Bosa

Yeah he fits the scheme perfectly. Sets the edge and has a good pass rush. Tuff player finished the season with an ankle but gutted it out.

If we could get Harmon or Nolan in the first ( hopefully small trade down ) and JT in the second that would be a really good start.
I've been high on him for awhile, he's not a dynamic rusher but very solid and good setting the Edge.
I don't think he has been getting the love he deserves.
RJ Oben. Late round, UDFA edge prospect. His father, Roman Oben, was an NFL OT for 12 years. Played 4 seasons at Duke before transferring to ND. Production fell off at ND, but before that he had 15 sacks over the previous 3 years. 6'3 250, body type and athleticism dont instantly wow you, but he did run a 6.95 cone and its evident on tape. Hes ability to flatten to the QB is really high level. Hes got some length and wingspan and caused 6 QB fumbles over his career. If he sticks its going to be as situational pass rusher. A wide 9 alignment would seem to benefit his play style.

Dane Brugler top 10 (overall ranking)
1 Abdul Carter (2)
2 Jalon Walker (5)
3 Shemar Stewart (9)
4 Mike Green (10)
5 Mykel Williams (21)
6 Donovan Ezeiruaku (22)
7 James Pearce Jr (36)
8 JT Tuimoloau (43)
9 Landon Jackson (47)
10 Jordan Burch (52)
Not sure if anyone subscribes to Bob McGinn's articles he always puts out a lot of insider stuff. I got this snippet about Pearce…

"Scout on James Pearce: "You knew at the combine he would put on that show, and he did. He did not disappoint. He probably goes after Williams, Carter and Stewart. But it will probably be to a successful team that will feel like they can take him on. At Tennessee, he was literally a no-go. You ask somebody there: 'Hey, if you had a chance to come to the league, would you bring this guy?' They're, like, 'Absolutely not.' On his own program. The whole team's working out and he's in his apartment. They didn't know where he was."

Oh hell no, wasn't really in play at #11 anyway, but even after a trade back I would be all the way out.

I like Pearce a lot but yeah that's a red flag if true. Can't find a whole lot of detail and a lot of Tennessee fans insist they've never heard anything about Pearce being a bad teammate.

Yeah even the film was suspect to me. He's a tall high cut edge rusher. Not super twitchy/bendy for his weight.

he reminds me of Randy Gregory.

I'd take Ezeiruaku over him all day, if we're looking for that speed rusher. That kid can rush the passer.

I like Ezeiruaku, only seen him Vs SMU and he made an impact, missed an easy sack and looked a little stiff, but gave his tackle fits. I look for that as much as anything. How uncomfortable do you make them, are they over setting, getting more chips or doubles as the game goes on. Almost as good of a sign as win rate.

JT has grown on me a whole lot. I thought I liked Sawyer but JT is much better. Kinda flying under the radar a bit but one of those who can have a long successful consistent career
