Mike Green- Marshall Pass Rusher

A lot of overreaction to 1 video of a 1v1 practice rep

Green is pretty good and looks powerful, explosive, athletic. But is he big enough to hold up to the rigors of the NFL. He's a little small. So not sure he will always truck people and will he also be healthy? He was productive though.

One rep doesn't change much for nfl evaluations imo. He played well the rest of the time from what I saw. It was a poor rep on his part more than Green just trucking him over.

Overall conerly imo isn't some elite level OT that needs to be drafted top 15. He's a late day 1 early day 2 guy. He's athletic but I agree his anchor isn't great. He needs to get stronger. I would be underwhelmed if he was the pick (which means that's what will happen lol).

Not sure where you're seeing all this power from in the film regarding Green? He's a twitched up speed rusher at the next level. He's got tiny hands and short arms, he's gonna have to use his athletic ability to get off blocks and beat NFL rushers at the next level.

Conerly would be fine at #43. I would be more happy with Green at #11. But I don't prefer either at #11. If we go offensive line it should be a very strong anchor guy who is powerful. If it's defensive line I hope it's interior. A big and powerful guy. It it's outside pass rusher I would prefer bigger than Green at #11. Not sure you want a one trick pony speed rusher at #11 overall. You should be able to do more than that and anchor better for that high of a pick.

I'm not down for Green at 11.

Some of the mocks have him that high as he has really impressed. He had an FBS leading 17 sacks. To go along with 3 forced fumbles. So he's no slouch. Not sure I would either. Just saying some mocks have him top 15 now.

Who would you prefer at 11 instead?

Best offensive line or defensive line available. Not sure just yet. Still would like to see them all work out at the combine and pro days. While I don't think too much stock should be put into workouts I still think you need that as one data point in the evaluation. It should be the TRENCHES though.

I think you could pick up an extra pick and move back to 14-16 and still get him.

I think the smaller school guys end up being the ones underrated. The trucking just shows he can do it against better competition also. His record on sacks and fumbles is already impressive.

We also have a problem finishing sacks so a speed guy isn't the worst option. Bosa always gets good push but we never have the cleanup.
The comps here are for OLBs. Which I think Green would be good at. Or even a wide nine defense.

That "trucking" was more because of a poor rep from the OT (overset) than green showing real power imo
Seems ca like he's going to be late 1st or early 2nd

If only. What makes you think this? PFF has him going in the top 15 all the time now. Let me check again..
EDGE Mike Green (Marshall)
Background checks and interviews are a part of this process that a lot of the general public doesn't get privy to all of the information. For Green, it has been surfacing the last few weeks about a sexual assault charge that he faced while a part of the Virginia Cavaliers program. The talented pass rusher also dealt with a similar charge while still at Lafayette High School.

So big giants NO's to Walter Nolen and Mike Green.

Derrick Harmon at 11 looks pretty likely.
