Elic Ayomanor WR Stanford

If he drops to the 3rd round I could see the 49ers taking him. They just need other spots more and aren't going to use a 1st or 2nd roinder on a WR.

He will go mid second round. Only way we get him is if we trade back in the first and add another second round pick. I am a Stanford fan and he is a very good receiver. He reminds me of Mike Evans, but more speed and athleticism

Mike Evans with more speed and athleticism. So a top 10 pick then

Yeah, I was also confused by this lol....

Mike Evans played longer in college. He also played for a winning school. Stanford has gone way down hill the past 8 years. But, the thing that really is holding him back from being a top 10 is he drops the ball too much. He has some of that T.O. in him where he drops the easy ones, but catches the tough ones. If he is more consistent he can be a top 5 WR in the NFL

Are you saying the reason Evans went in the top 10 was due to his school and the fact he played longer ? This is highly questionable logic imo. Lol.

You're super high on this guy, top 5 WR ceiling in the league ? Holy moly. I dont see him having that ceiling at all. If you look at elite top 5 WR in the league year in and out, guys like Chase, Reek, AJ Brown, etc they all have elite traits that he doesn't have.

If I'm picking a guy who body catches and drops passes, I need him to stand out like crazy in some other areas to be picked in the top couple of rounds. Unfortunately this guy doesn't stand out much. Hes good in many areas, but nothing too amazing in any...if that makes sense.

Hopefully this is a contingency plan for if we trade down @ 11 and pick up another second or third. Without a trade down I would hate to use one of our early pics on a wide receiver with all the defensive players that will be there. I do not think he'll make it to 75 which means we would have to use 43 on him.

idk,... seems they are like searching for this kind of WR (big one who can play X) and at this range (mid-late 2nd round),... they have already interviewed Jayden Higgins (twice, at the senior bowl and combine) and Tre Harris

- Elic Ayomanor ........6'2'' , 206 lb and 4,44 sec-40y and 1,58 sec-10 split
- Tre Harris................6'2'' , 205 lb and 4,54..................... 1,56
- Jayden Higgins.......6'4'' , 214 lb and 4,47......................1,53

Jack Beck is also in this range and have similar size (6'1'', 214 lb) but he's not been interviewed (which doesn't mean he's not going to be picked, last year nor Green nor Puni were intervewed)

I wouldn't be surprised if they take one of these WRs even if they don't get an extra pick in a trade down,... hope they can trade down

I can see where you're both coming from, but there's rumours of us trying to trade Aiyuk, this has been reported as buyers remorse from his contract, but what if it's our medical team having huge concerns about his knee? We could find an X WR, being very high on our list of needs very quickly.

Pearsall is more suited to the Z role and Jennings has been a great big slot for us. I think he could succeed in the X role if need be, so I could also see us drafting a Restrepo type slot WR and moving JJ over to X.

At #43 I don't really care about needs, just grab the best player who's not a QB, RB, TE, FB, K or P. The rest of the roster needs both talent and depth.

Side note...I had no idea that Jayden Higgins is Tee Higgins' younger brother.

I want him even more now lol but he probably goes late 1st.

Watching more of him and his got bricks for hands

I'm out

Yeah man it's wild. He drops some easy ones and also makes fantastic contested ones. Frustrating for sure lol.

I love him for the simple fact of imagining what him and JJ does to CBs on running plays. I think it was Phoenix that said it best….

Yeah great run blocking. Gotta catch the ball like JJ can to get on the field though
I like Pat Bryant as a day 3 prospect. I see some similarities to Jennings in his game. Not a great athlete. He's not considered a polished route runner, although I think him running a limited route tree plays into that stereotype some. He gets his hands dirty in the run blocking game though and offers good size. Most importantly he has great hands and offers dependability on contested catches. His yards after catch ability is a bit underrated imo.
If they draft this dude in the second

agree at 43 I'd be annoyed but if he hypothetically was there at 75 we'd be fine with it ?

Just a hunch but something about a Stanford WR makes me feel like he could slip in the draft a bit but who knows

It would depend on who else was there. His hands are just bad. His ball skills overall aren't very good imo. Poor ball tracking and I wish he would catch the ball like he blocks.

He also hasn't really had the opportunities to catch a lot of balls. For me he's a WR 3/4 guy who can get a couple deep balls and block. IMO like a Gabe Davis or Mack Collins guy. I just can't see that as a day 2 WR.

Unfortunately lynch and Kyle probably love this dude because he sounds coachable and loves to block…we sure do like to toss the 2nd rd pick in the trash a lot

Man I don't mind Ayomanor as a prospect. I'm little further down on him. I see him more as a mid 3rd to early 4th type of prospect. I think there will be far better options at 43 than him. Id be pretty underwhelmed there. This is the thing with Lynch/Kyle though. They zero in on their guys and make the picks regardless of consensus or what other people think so I'm already bracing myself for this possibility.
