Hell no on Warren. We have too many needs on the lines to take a backup TE in the first rd.

2-TE sets as our base formation would be the change this offense needs and with Kittle/Warren we would run or pass at will.

I'm not going to argue positional importance but Warren is probably one of the Pro Bowlers in this draft and there are only a few

No we wouldn't. Not unless we magically get 3 great offensive linemen later in the draft which isn't happening. It's time for the 49ers to address both lines early and often

I agree that we need to rebuild the trenches but after Mason Graham I just don't see a lineman on O or D at #11 that can move the needle inmediately.

Kittle/Warren would be more significant for the team than a reach at the trenches.

Just my opinion.

Agree with this as well. Curious what you think after watching him more.

Yeah gonna spend most of my time looking at OL/DL for this draft. Got kids and a more demanding job these days, so can't spend as much time on it these days.

I will say the highlights are fun. He's gotta be a Dexter Lawerence type impact guy to be taking him at 11 though.

Not that long ago Michigan had a "freak" DT that went in the first rd, that wasn't considered polished in Mazi Smith. Been a pretty good bust thus far

Edit: This guy then realized they made one incorrect measureable. His vert was not 44" lol still Smith was a freak in his own right.
Mazi Smith wasn't a good player in college. I knew he would be shaky. Grant is nice but not at 11
No way at #11 but he would be great value if he fell to our second pic depending on what we took with the first.

Agreed

Trade down if they get a good offer

I keep seeing him early to middle second right now. Obviously that will change, but I would take him in the second in a heart beat, even if we someone drafted Graham or an Edge in the first.

All for this. Really want them to be smart and be conscious of value, stop reaching.

Like everyone else I recognize the potential. That said no way in hell can you draft a 340lb NT that can't rush the passer in the 1st. He's a two down guy as of now.

2nd rd sure. I wouldn't want him in a trade down either.

I keep seeing Dalvin Tomlinson comps and that sounds about right.

I see zero reason why he can't be a three down player. We're talking about someone insanely athletic for his size. I think he's capable of playing one or two gap schemes, can hold up as a nose tackle or as a penetrating 3T. Just on pure effort level he's going to be pain for OLs to deal with.

T'Vondre Sweat had far bigger concerns about his size, conditioning and pass rush ability and all he's done is be a consistent monster for the Titans. In a redraft he'd be going early 1st round.

Ok I will be the Debbie downer here. I agree with NY because who the hell has coach k and this staff ever developed along the line? Bosa came in a pro. We need someone more polished technically. They have really whiffed on the d line picks over the years.

Who'd they whiff on besides Kinlaw?

Really? Solomon Thomas???

I was gonna say Kentwan Balmer. But just saw that was in 2008. Where does the time go
