2025 Draft Class: IDL

Keep an eye on Darius Alexander from Toledo at the Senior Bowl. He has terrific hands, quick, violent, gets on the OL fast and lands hard, jarring blows. This is someone that should have been playing at Bama or Ohio State, not Toledo. He's one of my favorite sleepers in this draft class.

mid round guy who fire our mold of penetrating DT.

idk i think i would stay with evan anderson and pick someone else

I like Evan Anderson but he absolutely should not be the reason we pass on a top IDL early in the draft.

You pass because outside of Graham, the talent isn't there at 11. Take BPA if we stay at 11 or trade back. Plus there are so many quality IDL in this draft. We can address it twice on day 2, still turn a weakness into a strength, while also adding top talent at other positions.

Evan Anderson is a nice depth backup. Someone who can come in for 15 or 20 snaps on base D or big packages but he is not a full time starter.

If we go into the season with him and Jordan Elliot logging big minutes we are in trouble

Just a very deep class and we can really solidify our squad if we decide to wait in the 2nd-4th round group.

Mason Graham
Walter Nolen
Derrick Harmon
Kenneth Grant
TJ Sanders

All look like 1st rounders. There are some nice guys after them but the dropoff is quite steep.

then:

Tyleik Williams
Alfred Collins
Deone Walker
Omar Norman Lott

Jordan Phillips killing it at the Shrine game. I'm liking him in the 2nd now for us after Conerly in the 1st

I feel like I high 2nd rd pick might be a little rich in this IDL class. Good value in the 3rd though

He's looking like a 2nd rounder to me. His offseason ascent reminding me of Keanu Benton, and I think his profile as a whole is better.
What's everyone thinking about TJ Sanders? I keep seeing him mocked to us in the 2nd.

Been seeing JJ being mocked to us in the 3rd round in some mocks, very athletic, started out as a TE at Auburn and switched to DT. Scored 7 TDs this pass season running the ball lol

lol. yeah, saw that they use him in the backfield ala the fridge back in the day. Pegues and Norman-Lott are the 2 that I won't be surprised that we pick later around the 3rd.

I like Sanders a lot if he's there on our 2nd rounder. So many shapes, sizes and abilities on this group.

Hard to see him jumping that much given the overall strength of the class but never know. He's impressing for sure.

As long as we nail our picks I'm going to mentally prepare myself not to overreact to where we take guys. Felt we reached for Pearsall and Green last year and it looks like the team was spot on on them.

Nah. I can't see it. He's about the 15th-20th best defensive tackle.

6th or 7th round. Somewhere in there. Maybe a UDFA.

He just didn't do anything in college. 58 tackles and zero sacks in 3 years.

Green especially, the corner class last year was decent.
