I was. And I still don't want to take him.

But I also wouldn't take Starks or Mike Green ahead of him

And I wasn't clowning you. I just said he would probably get blown up vs the run and we might want a more complete end if we were to take one at 11

Dude no he isn't. Theres a reason he didn't do the agility tests. He's not remotely close to Burns as far as bend/twitch goes. Burns was way more defined as a pass rusher as well.

I saw him do agility tests last night?? What didn't he do?

3C and SS... you're talking about drills...and he looked stiff on that hoop drill.

A lot of players looked stiff on that hoop drill, which I'm pretty sure is new.

Pearce is a polorizing type of guy. He could end up being really good or a complete bust. I was reading an article about him in the Knoxville Sentinel.

Nah not a new drill...a lot of people do look stiff tho, but that's cus a lot of people are stiff hahah. I was more speaking in the context of Pearce being comped to Brian Burns

People are all over the place with Pearce. Daniel Jeremiah at the Combine compared him to Brian Burns. Brett Kollman early comparison was Aldon Smith. PFF once had him as the #1 overall pick. In the end, I'd still take him at #11, dude is a baller. I was once told Daniel Jeremiah didn't even have him as a 1st round pick, yet he's his 21st player.

We can use another good edge rusher but I don't feel it's the biggest need. I like DT , LB or Ot at #11 depending on who's there when we pick. If they can make a trade and get another @1 pick then use it on an edge rusher if one is available.

Totally entitled to your opinion. I mean he doesn't have him going in the 1st in his last mock.

Tight hips and no bend. He's not Burns who had an elite level 3-cone and way more length. Aldon smith was like 20Lbs bigger and had a massive arm span. He actually won with speed to power and could set the edge.

those are horrible comps imo.

I still think we end up getting an edge guy in FA. Joey Bosa if cut will be here. They have Floyd as that DPR guy that can rotate in.

someone like SS can play all over that DL and has ziggy like traits. I'm not saying I want him because the film is meh. The film on all those A&M guys is meh and I just don't believe they all stink.

I still fell like Nolan made the most sense, but the chatter of bad character pushes him down for me (and he wasn't a blue chip guy to begin with).

I have no idea on which direction I would like to go at this pt lol

I'm all over the place too with trying to project players.

I like Malachi Starks, Tyler Warren, Walter Nolan (if his character checks out) Kenneth Grant, Mason Graham, Mykel Williams, Will Johnson. Josh Simmons (if healthy). Shemar Stewart looks to be a perfect fit.

There's so many good players at positions we need good players at! I mean we could even take Kelvin Banks and play him at LG for a year and then he replaces TW. We literally have no depth at tackle and if he goes down we are in trouble.

I think even if we do sign Joey Bosa which seems likely and a few other defensive linemen we probably will still take an edge pretty high.

Alot will depend on free agency. I think we will be busy like we always are filling out our roster and depth. Once the first two weeks of free agency is over we will have a pretty good idea of where this roster stands and what positions we need help at.

Like I said people are all over the place with him. And you are also entitled to your opinion but your comps of Floyd and Gregory only compare in size, Pearce is a much more fluid pass rusher than both of them. Not to mention he attacks the LOS more than just outside rush.
I've heard the character stuff about Nolan too but you never know hiw true those thngs are. Aldon Smith had no character issues coming out of college. Neither did Charles Haley. Then you have guys that had chatter about issues and they were fine once they got in the NFL and were surrounded by good coaches and older experienced players. This is where the personal interviews can help you make a decision. You can tell a lt when you loook someone in the eye and see how thye repsond to questioning.
I wouldn't let any of these last minute all of the sudden reports these guys have character concerns deter me off these guys. Then you read the reports and they don't report on any actual behavior. Every person I've ever met has some type of character concern. It's not like every guy with concerns turns out ot be a idiot once they get to the league. Tyreek Hill and Joe Mixon haven't been major NFL f**k ups. While Deshaun Watson was a poster boy of great character coming out of college. It's a toss up with a lot of these dudes and you just can't for see how it will pan out. So if you think he can ball out draft him and try your best to help them off the field and hope they got some common sense. I haven't heard one issue the Eagles are having with Jalen Carter.
