With the 11th overall pick..

Tomorrow at 30 seconds after the Niners make their pick, this site will go ballistic over the pick, and probably not in a positive way!

Outside of Graham and Membou yeah it is very split. Can't remember last time the war room was this separated on prospects or even drafting certain positions

I'll be ok with:

-Kelvin Banks
-Mike Green
-Jihaad Campbell
-Shedeur Sanders

I don't think we have a chance at Mason Graham or Armand Membou and I think that Walter Nolen won't even be a 1st rounder.

I don't want:

-Shemar Stewart
-Mykel Williams
-Tetaoira McMillan (or any other WR)
-Derrick Harmon (medical flags)

If the pick indeed is Grey Zabel it would be so stupid that it would make sense for this regime

Maybe you threw it in that list just for a reaction but no way in hell Sanders is getting picked, he'll be neither better than Purdy or Mac Jones.

Yeah. 10% will foam at the mouth incoherently. 10% will say the player is a bust. 25% will say we could have traded back and picked him up (without evidence). 30% will love the pick and 25% will be unsure. Somewhere between two and four posters will get banned or suspended and the more sensible ones (there are a few) will warm to the player by Saturday.

I'm not doing that anymore, I've got my board, and they have theirs. I'm happy to wait and see, but I'm neither going to state I'm right, nor drink the Kool Aid. Just wait and see

Sounds about right
Still kinda crazy to me how people get that worked up where they start name calling especially over a draft pick. I haven't seen anything to crazy but I stay out of the qb threads for the most part. That's where I see people getting heated. When Harbaugh was hired and named Alex the starter all hell broke loose 😂

Just read the first few pages of the Brock Purdy topic. And he was the last pick of the draft! Some people were legit mad about that choice and criticized the FO. The reality is that the draft is really a lottery. Sure you have guys like Nick Bosa or Myles Garrett that were absolutely no brainers but most of the time you're just hoping to get a solid player. If you can have a draft with 3 or 4 long term starters, it's a really, really good draft.

What are the injuries to Harmon? Zabel would be a HUGE reach! Lynch should be fired after the other NDSU bum they took

It's still gonna cost a hell of a lot to move from 11-3 probably a future 1st and a second this yr (vs multiple 1sts and more like we did to move up basically the same spot).

I'm not doing that s**t for anyone besides a QB, possibly a generational EDGE like Myles, that isn't Carter.

I think moving back up into the 1st at the end of the draft would be much cheaper and you could come way with someone thats dropping….outside of that only trades up I see are later in the draft.

Grey Zabel baby!!!!!!!!

I would totally disregard this still am but yup it checks all the boxes of the dumb shyt the 9ers do in the 1st round

If folks listened to DJ and why he picked Zabel, ya'll will understand it's not rooted in having any intel of what SF is thinking…this was his preference for the team and how HE would do it. He actually said that he thinks Nolen is a strong possibility before he brought up Zabel.

I look more at Albright and Schrager's mocks which are based off what they've heard vs what they would do.

Possible shoulder issue apparently. Not sure how real or accurate it is
I have absolutely no clue who we are drafting. Im ready though

Grant can play all downs. He'll need some work, but less of a projection in that role than hoping one of these edge rushers that couldn't rush the passer in college will suddenly have success in the NFL.

IMO he's consistently late off the ball and pretty stiff as a pass rusher.

your apply the tag "he needs some work" then refuse to do the same for those edge rushers who couldn't rush the passer? Why is he gonna suddenly have success as a true pass rush threat from the interior?

I'll give more of a pass if the thing you need to develop is a secondary part of what your game should be. Grant kicks @ss on base downs, and every now and again he gets really low and is a missile, but he needs some work doing it more consistently. Can we get him some extra moves sure, but he's not just a 2 down player.

I also agree that if we get him we should add a 3Tech at #43 or #75 at least.

I can't draft a NT in the first that isn't a top end pass rusher for the position.
I will say this about the Zabel speculation. To my knowledge they haven't met with him at all. There wouldn't be a need to do a smokescreen because nobody should be willing to trade up in the top 10 to get him before the Niners picked so the Niners wouldn't benefit from hiding their interest in him with pick 11. If they were that interested in him I would think they would be meeting with him on a top 30 visit or a private workout if they wanted him at 11.

I guess they could be interested in him if they traded up with their 2nd round pick to get him which would be fine.
