Hey no James Pearce!! Just fuking with you adrian!!!

But in all seriousness, my dreams of Will Johnson or Malaki Starks becoming 9ers have diminished. With the 49ers loading up at secondary in free agency, I doubt they draft a DB in the 1st round.

For me it's Mason Graham or trade down.

I swear Pearce was gonna be right after Banks!

Yea. I dont think this team is going to prioritize a CB, and they seem to be settling in on a preferred archetype. They also may be under the early impression that they hit on Green and he might be a 2nd contract guy, so iono if they want to invest a 1st round salary on another CB

I don't think we've ever drafted for need rather than don't need. We have types of players, and just try to match that against the board, if they're a gold helmet then even better.

That said our don't needs are currently QB, RB & TE. Leaves us free to draft pretty much anyone else.

Would love to trade down and pick up maybe another 2nd round pick somehow? They need to fix the D-line, IMO more than the O-line. We could go into the season with Trent Williams, Ben Bartch, Matt Hennessy, Dominick Puni and McKivitz. We can't go into the season with holes on the D-line, no one capable enough to start right now at DT. They could start Yetur Gross-Matos opposite Nick Bosa but I think he's more rotational player on the DL.

Mason Graham or trade down!!!

Almost guaranteed to be an OL now. This FO almost always drafts based on need over BPA in the 1st. Wouldn't be surprised to see them trade back and take the guard Booker or the 3rd-5th rated tackle.

How do you figure Oline is a bigger need than Dline?

Our Oline has starters and depth in place. Sure, we could use an upgrade at LG and C but we don't need to use a 1st or even 2nd on that.

As for the Dline, we have Bosa. And that's it.

Kevin Givens, Evan Anderson and Sam Okuayinonu are decent depth guys but nothing more and Gross Matos and Jordan Elliot might be cut yet.

I fully expect us to draft a DE and DT in rounds 1 and 2 and probably one with one of our 3rd rounders too.

#11
Mason Graham
Mykel Williams
Shemar Stewart
Kenneth Grant

Round 2
Nick Scourton
Derrick Harmon
Darius Alexander
Tyleik Williams
J.T. Tuimoloau

Round 3
Jared Ivey
Vernon Broughton
Shemar Turner
Josh Farmer

Our o line has starters and depth in place? Our o line has two good starters and a bunch of question marks. If Membou is there at #11, Niners should hang up the phone and run that ticket in. The Niners need serious help there, too.

Like I said in my post, they could go into the season with Trent, Bartch, Brendel/Hennessy, Puni, McKivitz.

Right now, what does your D-line look like and will it hold up vs the run. The D-line right now is actually worse than it is now than last season.

You're taking a RT when we have a decent RT in McKivitz or a guard at 11? Not a chance.

Membou hasn't shown he can play LT.

The San Francisco 49ers pick ????

as of now if I go BPA its CB Will Johnson out of Michigan ( best DB in drafts since Stingley )

as of need I got DE/LB Jalon Walker out of Georgia
( I think he's going to be the best edge rusher in this draft and just like Micah will become a full time one over the season )

who do you think we rake at 11 ?

That's two of my favorite players in the draft and I'd be happy with either. One of them should be there, if not, then I'm also good with a trade down.
1.11) Jalon Walker, DE/LB- Georgia
2.43) Tyleik Williams, DT- OSU
3.75) Chris Paul, LB, Ole Miss
3.100) Jordan Phillips, NT- Maryland
4.113) Jordan Hancock, CB- OSU
4.138) Jackson Slater, OG- Sac. St
5.147) CJ West, DT- Indiana
6.187) Nick Martin, LB- Oklahoma St
7.227) Cam Jackson, DT- Florida
7.249) Kyren Lacy, WR- LSU
7.252) Kitan Crawford, S- Nevada

dam good. I might replace Gadsen with a random KS running back or a safety
With Pick 11

Tier 1 (Not really expected to be there. Should go top 8 but i'd pick one if they fell)
Travis Hunter
Abdul Carter
Mason Graham
Will Johnson

Tier 2 (Players I would have no problem taking at 11, no particular order)
Mykel Williams
Kelvin Banks Jr.
James Pearce Jr.
Walter Nolen
Mike Green

Tier 3 (Players i'd pick if we traded down)
Will Campbell
Malaki Starks
Tyler Booker
Jalon Walker
Tyler Warren
Shavon Revel Jr.
Kenneth Grant
Josh Simmons
Nic Scourton
Shemar Stewart
Nick Emmanwori
Donovan Ezeiruaku
Jihaad Campbell

I'm not as down on Ji'Aiyr Brown as most. He's quite good in coverage and has range. He just needs to shore up his missed tackles and angles.

I wouldn't doubt if we took a RB but I think Shanahan finally found his guy in Guerendo. Maybe we take one if we trade Mason to avoid paying him 5.25 mil.

Gadsen is a monster. 6'5, 243. Will need to improve blocking but that's not why we would draft him.

2022- 61 rec, 975 yards, 16.0 YPC, 6 TDs
2023- Injured
2024- 73 rec, 934 yards, 12.8 YPC, 7 TDs

Brown quite good in coverage seriously?

Yes.

PFF had him at 69.5 which was 33rd out of 170 safeties.
Well as far as free agency has gone I think the teams biggest needs are interior dline and edge. They can get quality starting dline in round two through four. I think the pick at 11 has to be edge. There are good edges later but I think the dline quality is better in the second and on compared to edge.

11. one of - Stewart, Pierce, Williams or Walker
second round
one of - Sanders, Alexander, Williams or Collins
third round
one of- Norman-Lott, Walker, Turner, Burch, Farmer

this would be one hell of a start to the draft.
