Carter? As in Abdul? lol reasonable?

Honestly I'd be ok with almost anyone talked about in the first round including Stewart, Pearce, Harmon, Nolan, even Grant.

My disappointment picks would be Javon Walker, Jihaad Campbell and any WR.

Haha, meant jalen walker and confused jalen Carter. Abdul would be absurd

a list of players I don't want us to take?
  • Mason Graham DT
  • Abdul Carter DE
  • Malaki Starks S
  • Armand Membou OT
Would be who I'd be excited to draft otherwise I'd kinda want us to trade down

Take Starks out and I'm on board. Those 3 or deal down.

Curious why not Starks? It's not as big of a hole as other positions but he looks like a good cover safety which we've been missing since Ward and we are going in with Brown and a bunch of ?s. Secondary looks like it has a lot of potential add the top Safety I actually like what I'm seeing on the back end

He had a very poor showing at the combine. His RAS was like 5. I wouldn't draft him at #11 either. I love the other 3 you have listed but I would add Jalon Walker to that as well.

Drafting a S at 11 is blah. I know the film shows more athletic ability, but overall those measurables were awful.

you gotta be a special S to go that high, while I think he's good, he's not special.

im team trade down if graham and Membou aren't there.

Not saying Starks is the next Earl Thomas but RAS isn't always a great way to evaluate players

I still think it will be Harmon at pick 11.

I could be wrong but I seem to remember Thomas pulled a hammy at the combine and didn't run as well. His pro-day I think he ran in the 4.3s?

The more I watch the more I like. For me the ideal scenario is trading down a couple spots, landing another day 2 pick and getting one of Harmon or Nolan
How about this scenario I did last night on Madden:

1. Titans: C Ward
2. Browns: A Carter
3. Giants: S Sanders
4 . Pats: A. Memboe
5. Jags: T hunter
#6 SF: Mason Graham SF trades #11, #43, #227 to the Raiders for picks #6 and #68. With the 6th pick SF selects Mason Graham. Raiders want Jentry but not at #6.

#68 - Bradyn Swinson, EDGE
#75 - Isiah Bond, WR
#100 - Jordan Phillips, DT
#113 - Jeffrey Bassa, LB
#138 - Bhaysal Tuten, RB
Rd 5 - Chase Lundt, OT
Rd 6 - Seth Mclaughlin, OC
Rd7 - Cooper Mays, OG

yeah, I also think a S has to be very special to be picked that early,... a generational talent or close,... and IMO Starks is not there

there's another worrisome issue about him,... he regressed last season

- 2023: 7 passes defended and 3 interceptions.

- 2024: 3 passes defended and 1 interception.

he had a shoulder surgery offseason,... but idk if the production dip is related because the biggest regression came in his performance in coverage

- 2023: 18 receptions allowed on 35 targets (51.4%)

- 2024: 34 receptions allowed on 51 targets (66.7%) which is meh
