Grant can play all downs. He'll need some work, but less of a projection in that role than hoping one of these edge rushers that couldn't rush the passer in college will suddenly have success in the NFL.

I'd take Grant at #22 and be happy, if he's gone and Zabel made it past the Seahawks I'd take him. LG at first, but I'm training him to snap to take over from Brendel from next year.

If we got Zabel I think he would immediately be our best center as long as he can pickup protections quickly.

I believe the Niners priority is a penetrating 3T, like what they thought they were getting with Hargrave.

There are a lot of DTs in this draft, but only so many impact 3Ts.

Graham - top 10
Nolen - 1st
Harmon - 1st
Sanders - 2nd
Alexander - 2nd
Lott - 2 to 3rd

If they draft Grant at 11, they'd almost have to take TJ Sanders or Alexander at 43. For the record, that would not be a terrible outcome IMHO.

Aneas Peebles, Ty Robinson and Vernon Broughton can be added to this list. Rylie Mills as well but may have to redshirt him.

IMO he's consistently late off the ball and pretty stiff as a pass rusher.

your apply the tag "he needs some work" then refuse to do the same for those edge rushers who couldn't rush the passer? Why is he gonna suddenly have success as a true pass rush threat from the interior?

Hearing Lott more like 4-6 with the medicals.

Agreed. He's a freak athlete for his size, easily become an effective interior pass rusher.

Not saying they're the same but Mazi Smith was a freak athlete all the same.

if you're gonna apply that same "upside" to him why would any of you be upset with Stewart or Williams? It's not like Grant has eye popping stats either.

Stats aren't that far off of Harmon or Nolen.

Derrick Harmon 2024 Stats:
14 games: 45 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, 5 sacks, 4 pass defended, 2 fumble forced

Walter Nolen 2024 Stats:
13 games: 48 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, 3 passes defended

Kenneth Grant 2024 Stats:
12 games: 32 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, 5 passes defended

Grant is arguably the best athlete of the three.
And if we're talking about pick 22, he's more than likely the only one available there.

Mazi Smith had .5 sacks in his career at Michigan.

The last time we went with a pick with great "upside" it set us back several years (Trey Lance). We cant gamble with "upside" at #11.
introducing the P Schrager mock it has us taking Nolen with Graham available, on ESPN
Just for the f**k of it.

Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

Saw it, seems like Nolen and Graham are close. Nolen's character issues put Graham ahead but I've seen a lot of scouts have Nolen as the #1 DT.

Except for the fact that nobody is trading three first rounders for any DT. So there's that.
