I posted about it in 2022. It may have came out after the draft, but if a former scout had access to this s**t, no doubt NFL teams did as well:

I'm paraphrasing, but it was basically, "Sometimes he's(Kinlaw) into football and sometimes he's not."

Great quality to have from your 14th overall pick in 2020.

There are parallels in Nolen and Kinlaw in their social awkward personalities. I remember Kinlaw's first interview after being drafted was so awkward.

I feel like that type of stuff should have came out with all the draft pundits "insiders" and overall draft paraphernalia out there? Not just from Middlekauff. Things like that do go unnoticed anymore.

That's said kinlaw came from literally living off the streets, that dude was hard and it showed up when reporters like Grant talked about him….also from that aspect he didn't have thick skin. I have no clue what Nolen's deal is. I think A LOT of these young football players have egos and entitlement issues.

you can be a straight up football junkie and retire in a yr like Borland

I feel like if Kin didn't love football or whatever he would have called it a day with all the injuries. Dude just got a decent little pay check from our boy Peters lol.

we will see…like I said if SF is good with him, I'm good. I don't know the kid. Football teams are full of different personalities and the good teams make it all work…totally understand there's gotta be a line there as well.

I'm out on Nolen. The more information that comes out about him the further I get pushed the other direction. With that said it doesn't really matter what I think lol because I'm not making the pick. If he gets drafted I'll support him. I just feel like more times than not when the niners go out on a whim for someone be it injury or maturity reservations they get burned.

They desperately need to find some more good players in this draft to a team in dire need of depth and starters in multiple holes. I don't think their in position to take too many risks on known "reservations" attached to prospects. Again not my call so I hope they make the right one whatever that is.
Here's a question if Nolan was a straight up scholar and had nothing but praise of his character do you take him or Graham?

From USA Today:

Ole Miss DT Walter Nolen may be drafted earlier than expectedDate: April 21Source: Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer"Some teams believe he projects better to the NFL than Graham," Breer writes. "[I]f you have solid infrastructure, as well as locker room and defensive line room, the payoff could be big."

The Sports Illustrated reporter went on to mention the San Francisco 49ers, who hold the No. 11 overall pick, as a possible fit for Nolen.

Yes! Unfortunately we are not in a position to take a "risk" as far as character goes. #11 needs to be a day 1 starter and rookie of the year candidate.

Rookie of the year? I think you have some unrealistic expectations for this draft class overall. This isn't the 2011 draft full of HOFers.

overall this is a really weak class, especially at the top. We should be shooting for a good starting player with upside. That's why I've been talking about Harmon. Fits the bill overall….now I'm hearing he might have some injury red flags

If Nolen checks out character wise with this team, take him. He's got the talent to be a top end 3-tech. He's a day one starter as far as football talent goes.

I'd still give an edge to Graham because of the tape and consistency, but these two are a lot more similar than different. They both lack length and aren't necessarily big bodies for the position, which was supposed to be one of Graham's selling points(ie 320 lbs but moved like a smaller man). Nolen is technically a bigger body than Graham given that he's a lean 296, which is a testament to the type of athlete he is. Graham has a lot of bad weight on his frame. As players, they're both really nice prospects.

it would make the 49ers choice at 11 a hell of a lot easier if Nolen had zero character red flags since he's tailormade for the wide 9.

Graham without a second thought. Nolen is more of a scheme fit, but Graham is the better player, much better technique and plays so much more sound.

This video of Graham was posted and a lot of people have been ripping it. Thoughts?

Yeah agreed with the twitter post. I can't imagine spending the 5th pick on him. Or the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th or hell even 10th.

Graham is still the better prospect.

Dude does look a lot smaller than I thought. Other than that who cares, his film is legit

Film is legit even with that sassy run at the 5 second mark.
